“This place has an unusual atmosphere of mystery, quite groovy. Ancient house. Nice view of the town from the top, pleasant inside yard. We enjoyed the Spanish breakfast they serve and their strong coffee.”
“We had a twin room with a large bathroom, both very clean and comfortable, with ceiling fans and central air.
The huge shared kitchen contains everything you could want for cooking, as well as a six seat dining table. The lounge is also large, with couches, coffee table and large TV. There is also an enclosed courtyard out from the dining area, but it is not furnished. No one else was staying there, so we had the whole house to use.
It's located in the middle of town so you can walk to everything. A public car park is one street back.
Almaden has some great cafes and bars, and everyone was very friendly.”
“The hotel is situated in a lovely old building with many charming features - we immediately felt relaxed upon entering. It had a very serene atmosphere. The location was ideal for walking around the town. We had dinner at the hotel and sat on their upper terrace, which was an excellent location, with a lovely view. The dinner was wonderful. Breakfast was simple; bread with jam or the traditional Spanish chopped tomato spread, coffee, juice, a selection of fruits and a small packet of cakes.”
