“Outside evening dining was unexpected but extremely charming, also welcome on a balmy August night. Food was traditional, with excellent menu choice. Room was spacious and well presented with well a stocked fridge. Breakfast, like evening meal offered something for everyone. Overall, excellent facilities including large and safe parking. Superb value.
When you enter the town, it is evident that this is a town that grew due to steam and the railroad. For those that love steam engines, you can find many locomotives with tenders located at major junctions, coming from Glasgow and the Clyde it felt very familiar.”
