How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery beautiful ecolodge. Different and good breakfast everyday. Helpful staff who can help out with excursions and bus trips. Not too far from downtown but far enough so it feels peaceful. To enjoy your stay, you might wanna book too or there nights at least so you can truly appreciate the Siwa experience. Being a family hostel, you can feel they are very involved and passionate about their place and your stay.

Verified reviewThis hotel made us fall even more in love with Siwa. The staff were always present and warmly responded to all our needs, making us feel truly welcomed. The guide they arranged was excellent — if we ever return to Siwa, we would definitely ask for their help again. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to any of our friends planning to visit Siwa.🌺
Nothing.

Verified reviewThe staff is so helpful and friendly, the even have a delievery service and that helps a lot. The swimming pool is clean and the garden is lovely.
The flies is too much, but it seems like all siwa residents have this problem. But since is little bit far from downtown area, the internet connection here is not that good. The wifi works well but the signal is not that good if you are far from the reception.

Verified reviewStaff are excellent, the atmosphere of the lodge, quite, location near by the restaurants area and the souq, the rooms more of beduin style with ACs and fridges, we were a family of 4, had two rooms we enjoyed our stay to the maximum, also the owner helped us a great deal with knowing where to go and what are the best places to shop and eat. Verified reviewRating: 10/10 – Siwa Palace Eco-Lodge – Where the Soul Finds Peace and the Body Rests As the owner of the international travel agency http://bookinguide.net, I’ve visited countless resorts around the world – from luxury destinations in Asia, to desert jewels in Arabia and hidden oases in Latin America. Very few places still manage to truly impress me. But Siwa Palace Eco-Lodge did – beyond all expectations. What impressed me the most? • Architecture: Authentic Siwan style built with salt, clay and palm fibers. Each room tells a story, naturally balanced in energy, with a homely atmosphere and natural air flow. • Atmosphere: A sanctuary of peace, spirit and beauty. Ideal for those seeking silence, inspiration and a deeper connection with nature – or a romantic escape under the palms. • Natural Hot Spring Pool: A healing gift from the earth. Bathing under the stars at night, surrounded by candlelight and palm trees – simply unforgettable. • Staff: Pure hospitality. The team is kind-hearted, attentive and professional – with a genuine desire to offer guests a meaningful experience. • Details: Gardens, handmade seating, woven carpets, local art, freshly pressed mango juice, the scent of dates… It all creates an unforgettable harmony. Siwa Palace Eco-Lodge is not just a hotel – it’s a soulful experience. A greeting from ancient Egypt reborn in eco-luxury, with deep respect for nature, tradition and the human spirit. I recommend it to anyone called by real rest, connection and the warmth of true hospitality. Here, time stands still – and life shines through.

Verified reviewthis wonderful lodgel is far from Siwa town and allows the visitor to enjoy his stay in absolute peace. Available both a cold water and a hot water pool. The workers in the lodge are always ready to help you in whatever you need. Hamo, the manager, is super kind, speaks good English, and he can arrange for you all the tours you need and even a take away meal at the hotel, near the pool. Lovely experience.

Verified reviewThe atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. I love the building's Siwa culture vibes, and the rooms are very authentic. The pool surrounded by the nice garden is a perfect spot to relax. For breakfast, you can enjoy traditional flavors like freshly brewed tea on the patio, where you can chill while sipping fresh lemon mint juice. Additionally, the owner of the hotel is friendly and helpful, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.
