The place is kinda decent for the price

Food was not good, very cheap quality

The resort layout is actually quite nice, with beautiful views from many rooms and easy access to three different pools. The beach itself is lovely, and the coral reef and colorful fish right by the shore are absolutely worth a snorkel. A few staff members went above and beyond and were genuinely friendly and helpful, thanks Neseem *(Room Service team)* for being always cheerful and for keeping our rooms always sparkling, *Mr. George from Restaurant management as well for being helpful*!

1st of All after driving about 8hrs to reach Dahab, the bare minimum is to have a welcome drink or water for the guest but actually, there was no drinking water provided in the rooms, which feels like a basic necessity. The restaurant is far & too small for the number of guests — expect long queues (10+ minutes) for both breakfast and dinner. Both were very poor, with limited and repetitive options. To make things worse, some items seemed like they were recycled from the previous day, and a few were just bad — the cucumber, chickpeas, and cantaloupe were inedible and you can clearly see fungus growing on them. Dinner included things like Negresco pasta with processed chicken that didn’t feel fresh. *If you reserved half-board accommodation, you will find its rules below standards, you shouldn't ask for cold drinks like Pepsi, Mirinda,... etc during the meals and don't expect to have hot drinks packets in the rooms, moreover, hot drinks are only allowed at breakfast for the half-board guests, while only water at dinner.* The room was outdated and had visible signs of neglect. Ants were a problem, and the fridge wasn’t working. When we asked for a replacement, they brought a freezer instead — not exactly helpful. The AC was loud and didn’t work properly for a couple of nights, making it hard to sleep. On top of that, there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms — only in the lobby — which felt very limiting. Other annoyances included beaten unpaved long entrance area that gave a poor first impression, strict towel pickup rules with limited timing (not ideal if you’re trying to relax, you better be on time!), and inconsistent service *, full time closed kid's area.* While some staff were genuinely kind, others came off as rude or dismissive, *for example:* *At dinner, one of the group asked for extra checken portion, but the chef's reply was percussive, he told him "Thats enough, you took earlier" with a silly smile.

1st impression

This was my third stay at the hotel, mainly because of its excellent location. I also really enjoyed the dinner options. The aqua park and kids' area were perfect for our child and made the stay very enjoyable for families.

There was a bad smell coming from the sink in our room's bathroom, which was unpleasant. Also, there was water leakage from the AC. The breakfast didn't include espresso or coffee, which was disappointing. Additionally, dinner for half-board guests didn't include juice, which I haven’t experienced at any other hotel before.

The only downside would be that they have far too much plastic used for drinks etc. room service was not 24 hours for food. They would only send drinks after a certain time

Happy Life Village offers incredible value for money. The staff were almost without exception friendly, hard working, attentive and helpful. Beds very comfortable, rooms, balconies and bathrooms kept very clean. We appreciated the complementary plates of biscuits and fruit left in our room every few days. Snorkelling from the reef was amazing, crystal clear water and an abundance of marine life, my husband even saw a turtle. The beach was kept very clean and the staff on the beach looked after us and made sure we had towels, access to shade and shelter. The swimming pools are well maintained and very clean. We didn't join in with the activities provided by the animation team, they encouraged us to participate but left us alone and did not hassle us. We made use of the free shuttle bus into Dahab a couple of times, this made us appreciate the peaceful, out of town location of Happy Life Village. We requested a quiet location on site and were very happy with the rooms we were allocated. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend it to others as a value for money option.

We are vegetarian (vegan at home but prepared to be more flexible on holiday) and the buffet seemed very focused on meat and fish, with few vegetarian dishes available apart from rice, potatoes and vegetables. However the pasta bar was great and the salads in the evening were delicious. I appreciated being able to use the gym but was disappointed that the equipment had not been maintained; several of the machines didn't work (broken cables, missing parts). Most of the gym equipment is TechnoGym - a good brand - so I imagine it would be expensive to mend or replace. I didn't like the amount of single use plastic - I understand the need for this by the pool for safety reasons, but don't see why there was so much plastic (glasses, teaspoons) in the main restaurant. There was no evidence of any recycling taking place either. The only other minor thing was that the piped (mostly instrumental) music in the restaurant (inside and outside) was very repetitive and would get stuck in my head all day! More frequent changes of music would be good :) However these are all minor things, and the reason why I gave 9 rather than 10 out of 10! Thank you to all the hard working staff at Happy Life Village who made our holiday a great one!

They have beautiful reef in their beach - with a bridge that drips you there- and a store that rents gear on the property (Laguna divers- super friendly owner) - out kids had a blast snorkeling multiple times. There a ton of activities in the beach ; some are free like dancing for kids, color fight and yoga. There are many paid activities right there like quad bikes /ATVs rentals with an experienced guide Location is good- 20 minute from Dahab and the hotel provided a free shuttle three times a day although was full a couple of times

Food barely passable. We went in the busy season (Eid) and the hotel staff, facilities and food was barely keeping up. Took the “full package” mainly because it promised unlimited free drinks and ice creams for kids- only to learn the ice cream machine is broken (remained broken for our 4-day stay) and drinks were TERRIBLE quality and amount- we didn’t use that option. The breakfast, lunch and dinners were chaotic at best and people were frustrated with lines and food running out. Rooms were less than passable- phone doesn’t work, no clean towels and we had to ask for extra pillow 4 times.

Everything about this hotel punched above its weight in a value for money point of view The location is a joy to behold everyday the reef for snorkelling is absolutely superb The food is wonderful and the staff are friendly and helpful No hassle on the beach from vendors although I must admit watching the young Bedouin girls give the security guards the runaround did make me chuckle Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and fingers crossed will return later in the year Truly exceptional value for money

The location is perfect. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I have been here on several occasions, and find I always get a warm welcome highly recommend.

No complaints

This is my second time staying at Happy Life Village, and it's totally a great value for money! Great location, nice buffet for breakfast and lunch, and the staff is super friendly.

However, I was disappointed with the inaccurate information provided by the front desk staff regarding the hotel’s activities and events, as well as the hotel shuttle service departure time. This inaccurate information forced me to call a private driver at an extra cost, even though there was a hotel shuttle available at multiple times for free. I feel their lack of professionalism was disappointing.
