Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe place is difficult to find and it's awkward that it is at the last floor of a block of private apartments. Although if you forget the shock of the building..the hotel is much much better than many around.
Definitely a very comfortable bed and a room that looks like a nice modern hotel room. The balcony is also very nice. Family vibe and genuinely nice people in the stuff.

SpainThe hotel needs to improve the signal so taxidrivers know where it is, we had quite an issue the second day and it almost costs us to miss the Tutankhamun exhibition experience.

SwitzerlandThe address shown on the booking is wrong. We had problems finding the apartment. It should be better explained on the page how to get to the apartment. The building is in bad condition, but the apartments are located on top of the building. The apartments are modernly furnished.
Decent host. Delicious breakfast with a view of the pyramids. (Included in the price). The owner offers guided tours which are ok.

GreeceThe building itself is in a terrible condition. I haven’t been inside such a poorly maintained building before. It is a bit scary when you enter. The elevator is in terrible condition. The corridors, the light switches, the lights, everything is too old and look dirty. The guest house has been totally renovated but still it is a part of an ugly bad maintained building. The room is too small, one of the two beds actually is next to a wall. There is no room for the luggage. The window net for the mosquitoes torn up. Breakfast (delicious and fresh served by the always polite mr. Youssef) is served inside the room. There is no public dining outside the rooms. For launch and dinner there is a small catalog to order but the choices are poor and the prices like going to a restaurant. I advise you to order from takeout on your own. The area has nothing in close walking distance apart from the museum. In the future I am sure that everything will change but now going outside offers nothing. Nothing to grab a bite, nowhere to drink coffee, to buy something, to walk in a park or anything else to see apart from the GEM. There is no transportation public or private in close distance. In order to go anywhere you have to call for Uber or taxi which during Ramadan period is impossible in the evening. You actually feel trapped inside at the evenings during Ramadan. If it weren’t for the problem solver Miss Asma we would have lost very precious time as tourists trapped inside. Last but no least there is too much noise from traffic all day and night and even with closed windows it is impossible to sleep without earplugs! Every single second you hear endless honking for no reason making sleeping hell! The owner of the guest house would have too many complaints if it weren’t for his amazing personnel making such a difference for the scale in favour of our judgment! The guest house on its own is 5 out of ten
There are two major factors that made our stay pleasant. The first one is the distance from GEM and the view from the balcony of the GEM and the pyramids. We really enjoyed spending time at our balcony and having the museum at walking distance! The neighbourhood is safe with mostly families living in the building. All the neighbours were polite and friendly. They also have stray dogs outside the building that are friendly and make you feel safe walking outside. The second factor was the personnel of the guest house. Rarely a businessman can find people working for him to be so knowledgeable of their post, so willing to find solutions to any problem without hesitation, so eager to help, so kind and pleasant. Everyone working at the guest house cared like we were guests at their own home. They were always present taking care of any need. We wish to specially thank Asma for being far more professional than anyone could expect. That woman is a real treasure! Beautiful inside and out! Clever, polite and going the extra mile to keep everyone happy! We hope that her hard work is appreciated! If it weren’t for Asma and her brother Youseff apart from a nice view the guest house would’ve offered much. Mr. Youseff is literally always there. Early in the morning, late at night, bringing breakfast, Youseff greets you always with a smile! Whatever you need mr. Youseff is the answer! The guest house is alive and working because of these people, Asma and Youseff! We would like to take this opportunity to wish them both the best in their life! Our rate for personnel is 11 out of ten ♥️

United StatesIt was hard to find (my local driver couldn’t even find it right away) and takes a small adventure through the building to get to your room, but super worth it! And they carried my bags the whole way too.
The view of the pyramids from the cute, glass balcony was incredible! The bed was soooo comfortable as was the shower. The room was beautifully furnished. The staff were wonderful. They took such great care of me; very kind and attentive. And the food was so good! I purchased dinner and the breakfast was complimentary -both excellent. I would 100% stay there again.

BrazilThe guest house is ok, comfortable. Asmaa and Yousef are the big differential of this place, they made my trip to Cairo much pleasant and safe. They did everything to help, they cared about every detail and helped me with local tips. They are really friendly and I would recommend the place just because of them.

GreeceWe arrived late at night, and the guest house is on the 10th floor of an old block of flats. There was not a sign at the entrance of the building indicating the guesthouse and the elevator was in bad condition. The windows were not sound proof and there was a lot of noise coming into the room from outside.
Youssef is one of the best receptionists ever! The view from the room with balconies is breathtaking. The complimentary taxi services.

RussiaThe neighborhood didn’t feel very safe and there was no place to go around. We had to use taxi every time we needed to get somewhere. The room was noisy due to window glass which was making a sound every time the wind blew. Also there are 2 big roads around the building with busy traffic day and night. One time we saw a rat running behind the window.
Nice pyramids view, clean room, comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They arranged a taxi for us and a day trip to Dahshur and Saqqara which was amazing.
