If I should fin a drawback: the neighborhood is a maze and Uber drivers don't find easily their way to the hotel.

The Magdis (father and sons) were so caring, helpful and easy-going, we could have sworn we were part of the family. They gave us useful advice, met our little needs (change, water) and even accompanied us to the hospital for an emergency. The room was clean, comfortable and a fresh shelter when the outer heat was unbearable. We could even use the lobby during half a day while waiting for our train. The hotel is situated at 10 minutes from the center in a popular neighborhood, a little preserved from the continuous harassment faced in the touristic area.

The bed and pillow were a little incomfortable, but they changed it as soon as we complained so no problem.

The staff was very nice and helped us to book differents trips. They was always somebody to help us if needed. The price-quality ratio is very good.

Wifi terrible/non existant Beds from the last century Feels like there are no walls/doors as every sound reaches the room Super noisy wedding until 2am, partly even in the lobby - I advise to not accept other guests during an event like this as it's impossible to sleep..

Mosque noise, but it is not the hotel's fault. It is pretty much everywhere in egypt, unless you are lucky.

Friendly welcome staff. Old fashioned style hotel with fairly good location and on quieter road. Balcony rooms. Clean enough. Did an air balloon ride for which staff helped arrange pick up from the hotel.

Nice hostel, the owners (the dad and his son) are very kind and welcoming. They really make us feel at home. The room is clean and comfortable. For the price we are really happy.

No elevator, stairs only for 3rd floor.

The staff at the Fontana were wonderful. We only stayed here for one night after completing our Nile cruise and waiting for a train back to Cairo. The man at the front desk made a delicious recommendation for a pizza place and had it delivered to us at our hotel. Perfect for weary travelers after long day of the antiquities of Luxor challenge. The shared bathroom was very clean and at $7 a night for two the room was safe and comfortable, basic but comfortable.

You have to be patient sometime, as you need to ask for someone to be present at the reception to get your documents back, for wifi, etc. But when you asked, they deliver rapidly.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Great budget option in Luxor. They help us with picking up from train station and going back there.

Very comfortable room and nice location. It's very near to luxor temple(walking distance) and Karnak. Most importantly it was very clean. The owner and all staff are very friendly and very helpful. Hot air balloon trip organized by then was amazing. Good experience and off course budget friendly. Recommended.

Maybe the bed linen is a little bit outdated. There was not curtin in the shower.

The host, Mahmoud was super friendly and tried to accommodate to us in the best way. He upgraded us to a room with private toilet for free. Location is good, close to the train station and in a local suburb. Wifi worked perfect in our rooms.

Hotel is walking distance from Railway station. Mahmoud the owner is a gem. He have all the solutions available with him for the visits in Luxor. He arranged for my family hot balloon with cheapest price.

It's not their fault, but unfortunately my room was very noisy due to nearby mosques and a very agitated street. I slept with earphones, so not a major issue for me in the end. The internet was not working very well from my room.

The location is very good, the staff is very supportive, the activities they recommended were also amazing. The room was big and clean.

Fontana hostel had everything we needed. Central location (10min walk from bus & train station), clean rooms and an amazing staff. Mahmoud helped us a lot with tour info & food recommendations. The price is unbeatable! We will definitely be back one day :)
