Everything was great. + The very good breakfast from 6:00. + The location to reach the sights on the West Bank. The public ferry to East bank was only a few minutes away. + The pool. + The peace and quiet and the green garden. And the most important/best thing was the friendly and helpful staff.

Everything was great! Staff was super sweet and accommodated all of our needs. Let us do a late check out and recommended the best way to go about going places. Mr Muhammed was lovely! And Our driver, WAS THE BEST!, drove us around all three days and was constantly suggesting ideas. He was such a wonderful person! Cannot say enough great things about him. My friends and I had a lovely stay and hope to be back!

The hotel is in a lovely location on a quiet side street, a few moments walk away from the Nile. The West Bank location is beautiful, much nicer in my view than the East side, as it's quieter, and less built up, so more natural looking. The hotel has a lovely courtyard and swimming pool, with lots of plants and greenery. The rooms are nice, and the staff are very attentive. The food was excellent.

Lovely tranquil base on the west bank, staff were so friendly and helpful, food was very nice and heated pool a massive bonus. Mohammed helped us arrange transfers and our room was a great size for our family. Grounds very lovely, lots of space to relax and enjoy the sun, just a short walk to the Nile and easy access to valley of the kings etc

The property was great. An absolute value for money. The staff was really helpful and made us feel at home. The food was ok. The hotel manager Mr Mohamed helped us arrange tours which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend it if you plan to stay in the West Bank of Luxor.

El Gezira Garden Hotel is a bird and flower filled sanctuary, Jamal, Mohammed and the team are warm and professional hosts. I spent 14 nights at the hotel in February. It's a comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Hatchepsut, Dendera and Abu Simbel. As the first and original guest house on the West bank, built 25 years ago, El Gezira Garden must have been a joy in it's early days before becoming engulfed by the building site Luxor is now. . Unfortunately however Luxor itself, on the West bank has become an overdeveloped, shabby building site, a rubbish tip of indiscriminate uncontrolled short-termist development. The Nile itself is clogged with hideous cruise ships the size of a small village. The restaurants and cafes are jammed with European retirees drinking away their pensions through the winter months.

Great location, the west bank is the place to be to visit all that Luxor has to offer. Luxor temple is just a short ferry trip across from the hotel and there is a lot more to see on the west bank than the east bank. The hotel gardens provide a lovely place for having a beer in the afternoon and the kids loved the hotel swimming pool. There are nice restaurants in the area near the hotel. The hotel was very helpful in arranging cars for sightseeing and airport transfer. The breakfast was great too!

This is a delightful hotel to stay at. Set among lovely gardens with excellent rooms, facilities and food options. It's also conveniently located on the West bank for seeing most of the tourist sights without having to cross the river. It's in a quiet area just a little back from the river.
