Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyBreakfast isn't enough.
It was generally close to the pyramids and centrally located. You can easily go to museums and Tahrir center by using Uber. This guesthouse is like the hostel we know. It is on the ground floor with few rooms and just behind the street. Mr. Muhammed and his staff were concerned and smiling. In conclusion, it is not a 5 star hotel and it was fine for me to sleep. At first it gave an air of insecurity, but I stayed for 2 days and I am satisfied.

GreeceThe apartment is a bit “hidden” so it may be hard to find at first. Also outside is quite dirty and smelly - but this is pretty much the case for the full area.
Pleasant apartment in Giza, 5’ away from the pyramids. The room was quite clean with all the main facilities. We had few issues (e.g broken flush) but the owner was very kind and willing to help, so he fixed everything immediately.

SwedenConsidering how much I paid, and the quality of other places in Egypt nearby touristic places, I think this was a good option. But do have in mind that the bedroom was rustic and its cleaning could be improved. Also, as it is a house-like place, noisy people in the entrance hall where the lounge is could be easily heard. I woke up a day around 5 am for this reason. It didn't happen on the first day of my stay, though.
This B&B offers good value for money. It is close to the Giza Pyramids and provides a good breakfast with fresh local food. The room is well-equipped, and the communication with the owner is very good. The owner runs a travel agency for visiting Egyptian landmarks. I recommend you check their options. I took one to Alexandria and one to the Pyramids in Cairo. I would have preferred to stay a day in Alexandria and take a local tour, but the one around Cairo visiting the Pyramids was great value for money. Do ask for the specific trip schedule and feel free to ask for accommodating your needs.

ItalyMy boyfriend and I stayed at Mohammed's guest house for almost a week. We found the place really nice, nearby the Pyramyds, and comfortable. Mohammed really helped us during our stay, suggesting places to go and trips to do. We really raccomend to ask for the transfer he offers to arrive from the Airport to the guesthouse (even though it's a little bit expensive compared to Egyptian prices), the driver showed us the city and explained us a lot about Egyptian culture and traditions, in order to uderstand them better and know how to behave. I think that we couldn't find a better place for our stay, with an host that provides you everything you need and is always available for a chat. Thank you Mohammed and the cleaning lady.

United KingdomBoth myself & my daughter's had a very pleasant stay here. The guesthouse is in close locality to the pyramids and the host Mohammed is very kind. The decor of the guesthouse has been tastefully done and has a cosy home-like feel which is cut off from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. Rooms are very comfortable and clean with ensuite bathrooms and I slept better here than I had during my whole trip to Egypt. Highly recommend 👌

SlovakiaReally nothing to complain about.
My experience was wonderful. The owner really cares for guests and we had a lovely conversation that was interesting but not too intruding. The room was clean, simple, and beautiful. There was a small terace and I woke up to a few birds singing, just to make your day start well. It was shocking that my room was so quiet while so close to a busy road.

GreeceThere was no view of the pyramids from any of the two rooms we booked, however we were very close to the location and could easily walk to a restaurant with a roof nearby that indeed had this beautiful view shown in the pictures
The owner met us personally and told us about the location. He was very friendly and welcoming. The cleaning lady didn’t speak English but tried to accommodate us, prepare our breakfasts and was generally very kind. Very nice location close to the necropolis.

Polandthe interior is beautiful, sophisticated, with the soul of ancient civilizations. Spacious common room, you could sit freely while having a cup of tea. The only drawback is the lack of windows in some rooms, but all the rest is beautiful and gives relaxation after the voyagers. The owners show the monuments with passion.
