How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No air conditioning. All services are in the city center, which is a 20 minute walk away. Furniture is a bit worn out, however comfortable.
Nice location for traveling with dogs. Good breakfast and convenient parking next to the hotel.

It is more a hostel or a dorm than a proper hotel. Only twin beds, not very comfortable. No hairdryer in the bathroom. Poor soundproofing: there was a music festival at the castle with loud music until late night.
The hotel is located in excellent position, very close to Kuressaare castle. Abundant parking space. Clean, with good breakfast included.

The room was perfect for 3 people including a child. Surrounded by the sea from one side and beautiful park near the castle from the other side. Good breakfast.

Very poor sound isolation. From next room you can easily hear sounds from snoring to TV.
Breakfast was better than one can expect for that price. Nice park close to the building, from second floor veranda you can enjoy the view on the Kuressaare castle.

It would have made all the difference if the room would have had thick curtains that would have covered the WHOLE window. It actually is rather important during the white nights in summer.
Although not very fancy, the room was nice and clean.

They were using some sort of plastic-film bed covers under the sheets, possibly for hygienic reasons, but very uncomfortable still. So we just removed them.
The hotel was good value for the money. Location was great - near the old town but quiet and slightly secluded in a nice neighborhood. Also many sporting options around - tennis hall just across the street, good surroundings to go for a jog around the castle. I did appreciate the staff who was kind and helpful. For example when we were slightly late for breakfast, they still fixed us a few plates.

The hotel was Ok for us but wasn't very cosy or pleasant. The room was basic.
We spent two nights in the hotel, very peaceful and quiet, slept well. The breakfast was varied and tasteful.

Cant think of anything that could be better.
We truly liked our stay here. The outdoor sitting area a level up was a great hang out when the weather was nice. We loved the old fashioned style of the place! Please let it be like this. So genuine! Fantastic staff! Close to the padelcourts was important for us. We will be back in 2024.

The price is not worth it. Poor breakfast. When we asked about one more night”s price, administrator said then price is the same (106 eur) as first night”s price, but in booking.com price shown 87 eur. We move to another hotel next night.

The hotel was a bit old-fashioned, but a lot of renovations had been done.
The room had a sauna and a balcony. The room had a new floor. The locks had been renewed, you could enter with a code.

It was a good walk to the town centre and further to the train station. The lady at reception was really annoyed that I had booked through Booking.com. The rooms were pretty spartan
The breakfast was good. One staff member was nice. It seems like it would be a very good set up for a group of people on a sports training camp - the rooms were basic but it was located right beside the stadium, and there were two gym rooms (and apparently a sauna, though it was locked at the time), plus near a big car park.

It’s just pretty basic. Linen on the bed was smaller then the mattress itself, so by the morning you end up sleeping on bare mattress, which seems pretty unhygienic
Pretty well located next to the castle. The stadium view is pretty awesome too!

The hotel is outdated, and needs modernizing.
Great location, friendly and youthful staff. Breakfast was most enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable, and I got a good night's rest.
