Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenStaff One coffeemaker was ok but another one was not good.
Nice apartments in the center. Everything was great accept for the staff, especially at the breakfast. The staff became to take away the food some minutes before the breakfast was finished and discussed loudly when all the guests can leave, like ”Cannot they all just go? They are sitting and reading newspapers. How long time they going to do that?”. Just tell to the guest in a polite manner that everyone needs to leave directly at 10 or begin the cleaning at 10 and give the guest 5-15 minutes to drink coffee. My daughter didn’t want to go to the breakfast after the first two breakfast (we stayed one week). Or just choose any place to eat. Staff at the reception was uninterested and tired. But the place in general is nice and the cleaning was good. The idea of the place is great. Good price. Choose the staff carefully.

United KingdomAs an older property the soundproofing was not great, people walking past in corridors and in the room above were noisy but this generally stops around 11.00 pm. No wardrobes just a few hangers on a coat rack so could not really unpack so had to live out of a suitcase whilst here.
Location very good, in old town a minute walk to main square and few minutes walk to bus, tram, train station. Beds were comfortable bathroom fine with good shower. Breakfast plentiful.

FinlandA little rundown, but that is to be expected in such an old building. All in all everything worked. The staff is very helpful!
A beautiful historical building and the location is spectacular.

NorwayThe breakfast salon, as pretty as the room itself was, was slightly disorganized and could use a better layout; it quickly got unnecessarily crowded, with queues forming at almost every station. The last morning our stay, there was a water outage for some reason, but no information was given. We don't know whether it was a veritable outage or simply low water pressure due to traffic, i.e. many guests showering etc., but we experienced the problem only this once.
The room was on the warm side, even though the weather in Tallinn was fairly cold during our stay. No AC, but a portable fan was provided, so we were ok. The windows were very low on the wall, but we got used to the charm of it. The location of the hotel is excellent, smack dab in the middle of everything. Hence a bit of street noise, but nothing to complain about. The breakfast was moderate, but definitely adequate.

EstoniaThe breakfast was lacking and I did not expect to not have an Aircon on 30 degrees summer heat. But that is on me as I just expected it, should have read description better.
I liked the vibe of the hotel, location and the price for the night. Right in the town centre with everything walking distance away - lovely

AustraliaStaff wasn’t very attentive. Breakfast situation was somewhat chaotic and both availability of food and tables wasn’t good enough. Wifi in our room didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. Plenty of silverfish in the bathroom over night.
Great location and unique atmosphere of a traditional historical building.

IrelandBathroom ventilation could have been better explained, breakfast was very limited, and might leave some disappointed.
Atmospheric, an old building with layers of character, the opposite of a chain hotel and the better for that.

LatviaBreakfast was fine. Had there been croissants I would have been happier, but that was not a deal-breaker.
Our room was ground floor. Cosy. There was a terrace just outside the room. Loved the architecture. Easy access to the city, attractions and railway.

IndiaThe front desk girls had attitude problem or they were not comfortable speaking English. There is no elevator. My room electronic card didn't work properly and I had to go up and down few times to the reception.
Excellent location, easily accessible by public transport, old town restaurants. Good breakfast. My room was ok but bathroom was tiny.

EstoniaThese are not bad rather things to consider staying before booking this place. Coz price seems to be fair to this place. If you’re sensitive to noise at weekends try to get a room away of street maybe. Higher floor rooms get pretty hot at summer as there’s no AC just the fans I guess. Again, little outdated but not too bad considering it’s an old town building. No elevator and many narrow stairs to climb with far corridors so be aware with elderly and kids just ask a room more proper maybe.
I find the paintings all over the hotel interesting. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. I requested double but got twin tho. Breakfast was good but definitely not 4*. But nothing was missing too. The butter is not butter tho, it’s margarine. The building itself is very interesting, it’s huge and can get lost discovering the nukes. :)

United KingdomThere were only 2 ladies looking after breakfast and you could tell they were struggling to manage everything (even though very efficient!).
Stay at this hotel was an interesting experience - but you have to check photos before booking, as the vibe might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The location was great, right in the middle of the old town and just minutes away from the main square and all amenities. The taxi can stop/ pick you up right by the door. Small but useful storage room in case you want to leave your bags before the check in. Plenty of beautiful antique furniture and paintings around. Very comfy beds! The breakfast was okay but you have to come super early (we came at 9 and breakfast stops at 10) to make sure you don’t get last bits of food. It was actually very busy when we came, and we were lucky to find a spot to sit.

BelgiumDue to the lack of ventilation, the room smelled humid. Also due to the wooden structure of the building, I could easily be disturbed by the noise of people walking above my head
