How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The guesthouse is situated at a peaceful street. Friendly staff. We were given a nice room facing to the quiet backyard so we were able to keep the window open all night, allowing us good sleep. All we needed were in the room: shower, good beds, fan to keep the room cooler. The breakfast was good. The beautiful Rakvere castle is within a brisk walk, also some good restaurants and a supermarket are few steps away.

Wifi was very weak and almost useless in the room.
Friendly staff but I think the breakfast is the best thing of the place. Also the location is very good.

Tiny room was very hot in the early morning. There was a fan in the room, but it was very noisy, impossible to sleep with fan on.
Great value fot money. Free parking.

Room was very hot as rooftop window could no be opened.
Location is great just middle of Old Town and very close to the castle. Breakfast was good also and great coffee. Stuff was friendly.

Location was perfect, right in the center. Hotel was quiet, staff helpful. Free and safe parking in the hotel backyard. I reccomend the property and will visit it deffinitely again.

No aircondition in the room, which would have been needed while really sunny and hot days (and specially nights).
Location was great, very near the castle, theather, restaurants and parks. Pikk-street itself was super nice. Travelling with a dog was convenient because of the dogfriendly staff.

Very warm and no aircondition, but the latter could not be expected. A bit noisy.
Good breakfast and location, also plus for the parking lot at the backside of the guest house. Very service minded staff.

Kerli, the lovely, friendly receptionist, was very welcoming and helpful, plus she made bicycle storage very easy for us. The room was very clean and fresh. The breakfast was very nice.

Rooms were a little bit dirty. There were some unknown stains on the windowsill, toilet room door and several places on the bottom parts of the walls, also dry cheese balls under one bed. It felt like someone ahd been living there before we arrived. I am not a smoker, when I entered the corridor I felt instantly like there has been a smoking because the smell was bad. When traveling with small children it isn’t nice way to start your stay.
The location was superb. The Pikk street is full of beautiful old houses and you can go exploring the old town. Also you can go see around by foot so easily. House is beautiful and you can get the feeling living in old town. The breakfast was good and offered different choices.

Only thing that comes to mind is that the keychain for the room's key was a huge knob (literally), but I learned afterwise that you can leave it at the reception, if going out with a small purse (you'll need the room paper-card with you). So really there was nothing to complain about.
Location was excellent, since we had planned to see a theater piece and the guesthouse is a few hundred meters from Rakvere teater. Breakfast was plentiful and exceeded expectations - I'm vegan and there were different vegan choices (milks, and sandwich material) - I don't know, if anyone had requested vegan breakfast options (I hadn't), but it was a nice touch still - I hope it is a standing standard there.

There was one small ceiling window, so there was not much light in the room.
Good central location. The room was simple and small, but the price and quality ratio was great. The breakfast was pretty simple. the doors and walls were thin, luckily there was not much noise whilst our stay.
