How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The curtains in the rooms could have been darkening for a more comfortable sleep.
Really great location, walking distance everywhere. Very nice place, good facilities with a kitchen, several toilets/showers, opportunity to use the laundry machine etc.

Clean and quiet. I got upgraded from a form to a twin room. Good location from the bus station. Kitchen is small but well stocked.

The building is a bit old and could use some improvements. The corridors are super dark. Some windows need to be fixed (my room, the toilets). The common area is big, but could be much more comfortable with just a little effort.
Old school hostel. The place has everything you need to spend a couple of nights. The staff is very nice.

Breakfast room good look better: too much stuff piled on the shelves and in the corners did not look professional.
Room was quiet, airy and sunny. Location was super central just near a nice park. Single bed is a bit too narrow for me, but it was comfy and I got good sleep. Breakfast was simple, but good value for money.

The bed is a bid old and there more not that comfortable. Generally tired and some bits could be cleaner but actually the room and bathroom were perfectly clean.
Regular hostel really. Dorms have lockers and side cabinets for each bed. Showers are hot and there’s enough toilets.

The beds are springy and a bit too thin. Not a huge issue anyhow.
The hostel is huge, well located and despite the building is old, the bathrooms, kitchen and common areas are well equipped and comfortable.

Spacious common room. Beds are not bunk beds and the distance between next bed is small. When it's not busy, it would be good.

As the building is quite old, the sound insulation isn't all that great, so if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend ear plugs for the noises coming from the outside.
Great location for the hostel. When you take the price into consideration, its even better. Plenty of space in the common kitchen/living room.

There are three big windows in the room, so the room was pretty bright at night (due to street lamps) and got quite heated up during the day. But once the sun was gone, it cooled down nicely with the windows opened. Maybe better blinds would be an idea.. all in all we were very content with the room though!
Very nice staff at reception and breakfast, excellent breakfast, spacious and bright room, comfortable bed, very clean! And we could store our bicycles in the hallway :)

Some of the dishes were dirty in the breakfast. Should not be like that. The Hostel is also way over priced to its quality. The price really makes this not recommended place. Otherwise this is just allright for over night sleep.
Location is great and there is couple of parking places in backyard. Stuff was friendly and helpfull.

Hot summer nights it would be nice to have at least fan on the table. Windows were on the street side so late night the traffic bothered sleeping because needed to keep window open. Ofcourse this is not to blame the Hostel as its not their fault 😊 Beds could be newer and bit harder. Renovate bathroom floor.
Staff was friendly ! Pets are allowed but must pay small fee and thats ok. Lovely park right beside the hostel. Location was good and easy to find.

Was unsure about the is hostel after reading mixed reviews about the building being eerie. When you 1st walk in it has that feel bit the rooms are not. I’d a very quiet hostel, barely anyone around. Seemed expensive for what it was but then the area is expensive. It’s fine for a night
Single room was large and spacious and building is very clean. Close to the town.
