Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel has a confusing layout, only on two floors but with several small flights of stairs. Lifts or or ramps would have made it easier to carry our luggage, but this is a minor quibble.
Copied from my TripAdvisor review: The hotel is very convenient for the old town and so is ideal for visitors wishing to see the sights. Our room was spacious. A few more coathangers would have been useful, but there was room for our luggage and the bed was very comfortable. The lighting was good, there were plenty of electric sockets and the wifi signal was strong. The bathroom had a decent shower. A shelf to put our own toiletries on in the shower would have made it even better. The price included the use of the gym and spa centre. This was not just a hotel swimming pool but a suite of pools, jacuzzis and saunas and a large, well-equipped gym. We did not use the gym but went to the spa centre several times, including on the morning of our last day as it opened at 6am. We got very tired from sightseeing (there is a lot to see in Tallinn) and sometimes the weather was not so good. It was great be able to relax in the spa. It really enhanced our stay in Tallinn. Both spa and gym were used by local people as well as hotel guests. Breakfast was the usual self -service buffet with a range of dishes, some local and some international. The amount on display was quite small but it was regularly replenished. Curiously the coffee machine was very slow, but the coffee itself was very good. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Before our visit we emailed the hotel to ask about the best way to get to the hotel from the airport and quickly received a reply suggesting we should get the bus number 2 to Estonia station and then walk. This was extremely useful and was completely correct. After our stay in Tallinn we were continuing our trip by ferry to Finland. Although the hotel was only about 15 minutes' walk to the terminal for ferries to Helsinki, it was raining hard on our last morning and the receptionist kindly ordered a taxi for us.

NetherlandsReception needs to think about accommodating of families with children on the lower floor. We had to drag five (!) suitcases up the stairs. The concierge should do that!
The hotel and swimming pools are good, the breakfast is delicious. But there is no elevator.

FinlandBreakfast could be a little bit more varied, even though it did meet all basic needs. The bathroom could have something to wipe the floor with, because there was no door or curtain to prevent the water from getting from the shower cubicle. Also, the tea/coffee selection by the kettle could include instant coffee and small UHT milks.
Access to spa and the spa facilities were first grade. The room was spacious, and the hotel location was brilliant.

FinlandTwo saunas were under construcrion works and not in use. Cold water pool was not in use. Construction works started at 8 am with heavy drilling, it was not possible to sleep after that. We made the reservation less than week before the stay and there was not any information about the construction works.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is located within walking distance of the city center, parking was provided as agreed, breakfast was tasty with a good selection, food was replenished. I appreciate that the hotel is constantly being improved, even though part of the saunas were being renovated, it had no effect on the service. There are enough saunas and swimming pools. I highly recommend it to everyone.

LithuaniaThe Room. I booked it as a family stay with a couple of children(one of which is a toddler) and the room was at the farthest point in the complex with multiple flights of stairs up and down, some rather narrow. You can only imagine how comfortable it is to navigate with a stroller. The breakfast. You can eat all you want, but the food is the same every single day with no variations whatsoever and there's not that much to choose from for it not to become boring. The SPA. It was okay, no issues with it, but the staff did not bother to mention that the spa is closing early during our stay so we ended up using it once throughout our stay... Again, you can only imagine the happiness such scenario produces for children expecting fun times at the SPA. Fire alarm Definitely did not love the fact that the fire alarm went off at 2AM in the morning blasting through the hallways and found absolutely nobody reassuring everything's okay. It just stopped after a while with me and a couple of other guests shrugging what the heck happened.
Well the room was okay in itself can't say I lacked anything there, the location is really good - you're a 10minute walk away from the center. Plenty of food readily available for breakfast. Spa (when it's open) was a fun addition to the stay.

LatviaFor hotel visitors should include parking in cost. Long corridors, no elevators. Room a bit cramped.
Spa is really good - pools, saunas, different cascades for massage. Location is good for exploring old town. Breakfast was decent as well. You can access spa during all of your stay (not limited). Big parking (costs additional 15eur per 24h though). Towels for spa included.

United StatesThe spa was not my favorite. And it was the reason i booked there. many of the Saunas were closed. And every thing was a bit run down and a bit dirty. Lots of construction on in the spa. Not inviting.
The staff was delighted. Helpful. Accommodating. The location was perfect for my needs. The bed was very comfortable.

EstoniaNot as i didnt like - but: 1. pricewise - we have been staying in Tallinn in other SPAs, who have had better "everything" (breakfast, spa, room) for same or lower price 2. SPA - 2 saunas and one jacusi and lots of constructions. Wasn't very attractive to be there. 3. Breakfast - below "middle", machine coffe, juice from sirup, almost no vegetables (and it is summer)
Well, overall presence of SPA is good. Entrance with code, allowing us to come at any suitable time was plus. Overall clean and calm room giving a good possibility to rest after busy day
