Kelvin was amazing! he arranged our airport pick up/drop off and 2 tours. He was so resourceful and helpful.

Everything was great but since its a old house its hard to sleep at night because it's loud outside. It would be great to maybe have a portable heater because the room does get cold at night.

Excellent value for money, incredibly central, wonderful staff who looked after us well, including sorting transport & getting up at 2.45am to wave us off.

We were in Quito when a light show was on & the bedrooms were v noisy. So not for light sleepers!

This is a beautiful old house which they're in the process of renovating. We had a lovely family suite with two bedrooms and a very nice and clean newly renovated bathroom. We had a small balcony with big old shutters which was nice to step onto to watch the world go by. Everything that you want to see in Quito was in walkable distance - we were very central to it all. The family who run it were very helpful and easy going!

The location was great for exploring the historic center. And, with it being close to a metro station, it was easy to get to other parts of the city as well. The bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. There was a nice garden/patio in the back we're you can relax and enjoy. It was cool to stay in a 300 year-old house! Kelvin, the owner, and his wife, we're both very friendly and helpful.

I always use earplugs so the street noise wasn't a problem for me, but make sure to have some if you're a light sleeper.

Kelvin is amazing. Above and beyond. We stored our bags in advance here before we left to do the Quilotoa Loop. When we returned, we stayed at Traveler's House Quito. It's ideally located in the historic center. Our room overlooked the road, but once we closed the doors, there was no street sound. Unlike some hosterias, there is no dinner or breakfast included in the rate, but there are tons of corner restos and cafes and stores to pick up or consume anything you want. Kelvin is also really helpful/provides tips if you plan to go to the Madonna statue or ride the teleférico up to appx 14K for an awesome glimpse of Quito (worth the ride and view!). He truly made our luggage sitch seamless by allowing us to store bags while we were hiking with our backpacks and again the day of checkout bc our int'l flight didn't depart till after midnight. Thanks, Kelvin!

The location of this historic property is fantastic; it is super close to Calle La Ronda and within short walking distance to top churches and museums. This was super helpful when trying to self-tour the center of Quito. The owners are readily availalbe to answer any questions and help with final arrangements and potential changes. There is a supermarket across the street and small restaurants nearby that came up handy to purchase water, juice, milk, snacks and freshly baked goods and coffee.

The property is approximately 300 years old. The owners keep the rooms/mini apartments clean and the private bathroom and other ammenities are up to date. However, I had to go through a series of staircases with high steps to reach the second floor, where our small apartment was located, and a few steps down to go to the private bathroom within our apartment. That was somehow an inconvenience. We slept in the center room of our apartment, where the street noise was tolerable; I slept fine, but not my other half.

Location for walking to Old Town & friendly manager who helped us navigate parking & worked miracles to get us in/out of barricades

It was difficult to access the property at times because they block off/barricade the roads during certain timeframes & it was a bit difficult to locate upon arrival. It is an older creaky building, but it was clean & good stay for the price.

    Everything

I have only one suggestion. Put a lock with a code or pinon the main door for when the renter have to leave or arrive very late or very early.. So you don't have to bother the owners/host to open and close on very late or early hours.

A charming 300-year-old house with modern amenities in a perfect location, with a view of the statue of Madonna and a charming garden in the back. We also befriended Lana, the 14-year-old black lab lady, who appreciated company and attention.
