Such a wonderful place. Very much off the beaten path. What I appreciated the most was that there are only a few cabins so there aren’t lots of people making noise and milling about. It’s quiet and cozy and mostly secluded.

The cabins were a bit quirky. The front door could be more well lit and was challenging to open and close. The toilet was in a separate room from the sink and shower which was awkward for hand washing. But overall, very comfortable and beautiful rooms.

The only thing missing for me was black tea - a very tiny thing in an otherwise AMAZING experience.

Loved the food provided, the staff service and willingness to accommodate extra requests, and the facilities. The rooms are big, and designed in such a way that contact with nature is very present. A beautiful place to stay.

The additional prices you face on location are very high. Drinks are very expensive and especially the tours are extremely overpriced. You can book the same tour in the city Tena for 1/3th of the price they charge in the Lodge.

Location, service and sleeping in a tent in the middle of the jungle was great! The food is really good. Everything is super clean and the pool is a lovely place to relax.

The property is beautiful! The bungalow was very private. You felt like you were part of the jungle when you opened the doors. The food was delicious! The staff was fantastic! This is a family run business, including the dog and the monkey! They had many good options for excursions.

The only area for improvement would be the fact that the manager’s guard dog (we didn’t meet the manager) literally chased my husband, growling and barking, on our way to lunch. We like dogs as household pets but this dog displayed very aggressive, reactive behaviour that was frankly frightening. Whilst it is understandable to keep guard dogs to ward off predators/protect the property, we feel it is inappropriate for this type of dog to be roaming areas where guests inhabit with inadequate recall, including the food preparation area. I believe 4 guard dogs roam around at will. We were also concerned about the on-site semi domesticated monkey that also chased us (we were keen not to be bitten). I notice that the manager has responded defensively to feedback of this nature in the past but I would urge him or her to reflect on the comments rather than dismiss guest experiences. There is no need to get rid of the dogs but they do need to be under control or out of the guest areas.

Beautiful accommodation with stunning Amazon views. The staff, especially Pablo and also Natalie were extremely kind and helpful, answering numerous whatsapps before and during the trip! 10/10 hospitality from both!

Like everyone says the road to the lodge is challenging

Remote site in jungle, excellent food and wonderful staff. The lodge has a pool and an beautiful natural garden.

We loved the lodge itself but were quite disappointed by the tours we did. (The nightwalk and parrot trip). They weren’t really as described and our guide was not very interested in showing us things/ telling us about the area.

The rooms feel very secluded and luxurious. I was a bit worried about bugs but had minimal intrusions. Breakfast was excellent The hosts were so helpful and responsive helping us arrange transport in advance via WhatsApp and answering all our questions

The drive up to the property on their long access road is not currently suited to anything but 4x4’s.

Good boutique option with five cabins. The food was extremely good - great range of options and some of the best food we have had in Ecuador and Colombia. The range of tours available via Hamadryade’s operators is very good - Carlos was a great asset to the team. Cabins are very private - you really do feel like you are staying somewhat in the jungle here.

The French manager could’ve been a bit nicer

it was amazing, both the receptionist (Angel & Natalia) were so nice they made the stay incredible for us and helped us with all the tours. our guide Carlos & his wife were also so friendly and helpful. the rooms are fabulous and the whole lodge is just absolutely beautiful. The shampoo and conditioner are so good, I wish we could buy them.
