Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing to dislike
Veronica and her staff were so helpful with making my stay an enjoyable experience, plus also helping me with my learning of Spanish. Initially there were two houses and modifications were made to join them together,my term is "old world charm",so homely. Located in a quiet streetthe area is very safe day and night, you are only 5 minutes walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and transport,Uber is very cheap in Quito. Room was large and spacious with outside balcony, tables and chairs. It had two plate electric hotplate, fridge, plates, pots, cutlery,so if you fancied to do your own cooking the option was there.Large supermarket ten minutes walk The breakfast was nice, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, toast, coffee, tea.

SlovakiaIf you are a tall/big person, you might find their double beds small, so the option is to choose their twin rooms and you will certainly enjoy your stay like we did.
Great communication with one member of the staff before our arrival (her name is Veronica). She tried her best to accommodate our family and make the best out of our stay. The loft was very clean, the hotel is small and cosy, very nice breakfast.

United StatesNo a/c unit in the room and too many mosquitoes to open the patio door or window. Luckily the weather was cool. Maybe a/c is never needed? We would have loved a fan, though.
It is a beautiful building. Eclectic. Secure. Safe inside. Breakfast was very good with eggs cooked to order. It is a quiet, lovely place with such nice staff.

New ZealandBoutique Hotel Antinea is an absolute gem, a typical French hotel on a maple-lined avenue a few steps away from key traffic routes. The room was beautifully appointed, breakfast very good and the staff, especially Veronica, excellent. I would highly recommend this delightful hotel.

United KingdomAnother excellent stay here. The staff are amazing. We stayed here again after going to Cuyabeno for 3 nights to stay at Green Forest Eco Lodge (the hotel has a tour desk as well which can assist with this). The Hotel stored our bags and had them in our room already when we arrived late. The breakfast is excellent and the accommodation is very cosy.

Ecuador-
Nice well kept historical building, very nice spacious rooms. Also the rooms have a historical feel but in a nice way. Personnel is super friendly and willing to help. They were super flexible with check in and check out. Breakfast is nice. Location is great few blocks from buzzling plaza Foch but still in a quiet street full of trees. Have been here a couple of times and in meantime it has become my fixed hotel when I travel for business or pleasure to Quito. Highly recommended and good value for money.

United StatesCould have been a few more options for breakfast. I thought I was getting an airport transfer when booking two nights, but this only applied to booking through 'booking.com' --It would have been helpful to have a pitcher of filtered water in the room (we had to got downstairs quite often to refill bottles).
Liked the friendliness of the staff. And, the recommendation for dinner at a nearby restaurant was great! Walking distant to the market, and cute outdoor balcony!

EcuadorHotel Antinea is “vaux le voyage” (worth the trip). This gorgeous hotel is on a stunning little street lined with Sycamore trees. It is a complex of traditional buildings very well designed and integrated. The rooms and garden terraces and courtyards are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast is unique in all Ecuador as it includes excellent croissant beurre (fait maison). The dining spaces are so attractive and filled with interesting art. The service is very, very attentive.

Veronica, the manager of the apartments was very helpful and accommodating. She showed an interest in what I was doing for the day and offered ideas to enhance the experience The breakfast provided was great and catered to the individual needs which was a nice touch It was a nice touch by the hotel to refund the extra money I paid for a late checkout but didn't require it in the end due to the airline changing my schedule The apartment I stayed in was very roomy, had good cooking facilities, plenty of storage space, strong WiFI with a comfortable bed The apartment complex and individual apartment was very secure The location of the apartment was near where there are a lot of restaurants and small bars

This is an adorable hotel on a beautiful tree lined street. We stayed here twice on our trip to Ecuador. Both rooms were super spacious and well maintained daily by the staff. The owner, Veronica, was particularly helpful with our trip, informative and friendly. This hotel was like a home away from home while in Ecuador. I highly recommend it.
