  • Casa Hotel Las Plazas Review score: 9.3

“It was on the street with balcony doors. Large room with wooden flooring. Close to all shops and restaurants, Quito at night is all lit up and you can see the cathedral and other monuments. The people were fantastic, sorted out a pick up for my tour and organised a taxi for our trip to Mindo. Very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous eggs, fruit, toast and croissants with jam, delicious!”

“Lovely hotel - owned and run by Mario & Blanca who are fabulous hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is beautiful & well run. It was very clean and comfortable (although a little noisy from the street - but that’s not the hotels fault) and breakfast was good - would highly”

  • “The best thing about this place is the helpful and friendly staff. I arrived very early morning from an overnight flight and they arranged for a driver to meet me ($25 - a taxi would have cost the same or more). The room was large, comfortable and clean - the bed was really nice and had plenty of blankets, although it wasn’t very cold anyway. The shower had good water pressure and enough hot water to wash your hair at different times of the day. The location was also great - good walking distance to the centre and basilica. The staff helped me organise to do a free walking tour and a day trip to Mindo ($50), and also helped me set up a local SIM card. Breakfast was served 8-10am and was delicious, fresh fruit platter and then bread and eggs, tea/coffee. There was a small store next door where you could buy water and snacks, and the street over had a lot of nice and well priced restaurants. This was a great place to stay for my 4 nights in Quito”
