We didn’t sleep well, it was hot in the room despite of the A/C working and we could hear every noise made outside the room so we woke up all the time.

Special thanks to the owners and the staff of the hotel, they were very helpful when I stepped on a sea urchin, helped me to get the sting out ! The garden is very beautiful. The breakfast is ok but could be better, it’s just bread with eggs and jam.

The hotel is a little green oasis with super friendly staff and very clean rooms! I felt very safe, warmly welcomed and comfortable there as a solo traveller. Would recommend it to anyone and looking forward to coming back!

Ariane and her husband were very welcoming! They offered us a better quality room because we came in low season and one was available. the food is delicious. the staff were very attentive and answered all our questions. We felt at home! The location is ideal, close to the beach and the shops of Las Galeras.

The property it’s well located on walk distance from the beach. The restaurant has good food, also the breakfast it’s good. The staff it’s great, everyone really kind. So an amazing place to spend time in as the region it’s rustic and don’t offer many options of what to do outside the hotel. The beach nearest it’s beautiful and you also can do tours from there.

The location was great, just outside the noisy main street but at the same time 30 sec away from the beach. We had 3 meals and they were all excellent.

Unfortunately I got and uncomfortable and disappointing surprise when I realized that I got charged more than was supposed to be for my stay there. the manager charged me not just the 18% of the taxes that are normal and totally ok in every hotel in Dominican Republic, but she charged another 18% extra without even mention it. (Otherwhise I'll pay with cash; cause some hotels only acept cash, and we're fine with it ) And when I asked why, she told me that that's "another 18% charged because I paid with card" that is a totally normal thing in DR and thay i should have known it already since I am a "traveler" which is completely false. I stayed in 4 different hotels (some of them smaller ans some bigger than this one) and none of them charged my that amount for a credit card payment. I also asked local friends for it and also another hotel managers when I got to another location after that, and all of them told me that's not true. Honestly I think that's really disappointing since the location and facilites were awesome and also the staff and everything else was. We could've avoid this situation by saying that was a mistake or that she charged me the VAT double as a mistake or something else. A pity.

The location and the facilities here are great. Everything was amazing and the trip was going great, this review could be a 9/10. But...

No hot water for the total length of our stay You here absolutely everything from the neighbour rooms (we were upstairs at the oceanciew room) But we had serious troubles with the payment! Checked in there - nobody asked us for immediate payment. Next day we should pay - we asked for card payment - they wanted to add 18% additional without any prior notice. So we went to atm - but there was no cash. So we asked for paypal. I used the emailadress they sent (see pictures below) and even doublechecked with the staff there if its correct. He said yes it is. So i paid. Next day someone named „ariane“ spoke with us by phone and told us that she didnt receive anything and that she will send us the police if we dont pay immediately! I told her that i already paid to the adress she sent me and which i doublechecked with the staff! But she was insisting that she will send the police immediately - even if she sent the wrong mailadress! So i paid again - now to a different mailadress!!! That worked. But we paid double in the end only not to get in troubles at the other end of the world. I am travelling for about 15 years now and i have never seen such a rude and unpolite behaviour without even listening towards guests. On a human level absolutely disgraceful.

The mosquito nets aren't great and we were up all night from the constant onslaught of the horrible little beasts. The whole place has a bit of a sad shabby sort of look to it.
