How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room #1 is a bit noisy in the early morning due to the proximity of the road. Nothing to be done except switching the kitchen and the bedroom. Not a small thing! It is just to specify if some people are sensitive to the noise, they have to anticipe this.
The house is well equipped and very clean. The information to get there and in were very clear and easy.

Perfect for traveling with the ferry, 5 minute drive from the boat. Simple room and you share the rest of the house with other people when the rooms are occupied.

The room we had was the absolute bare minimum in terms of space. Turning two of those into one larger room would probably be a good idea.
It's a good place to stay overnight during your travel, but since it's nothing special I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for prolonged holidays in Hirtshals. It's clean and you can see the host tries his best to make the most out of the house.

The building is old with narrow staircases and the building needs to have better signage from the street.
Close and convent to the ferry. The proprietor was very good at solving a problem when I was locked out due to a door latch malfunction. He apologized profusely and offered a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates as a means of an apology which was not necessary. I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested.

We were happy enough with the facilities but others might perceive them as a little old fashioned. Also there wasn't really a breakfast, only drinks.
The destination was very convenient for my mum and I coming from Norway on the ferry. The lady was very nice and the room was big, the facilities comfortable although not over luxurious. Just what we like for the price we wanted to pay.

The walls are very thin and we could hear the people next door snoring.
The facility was exceptionally clean and spacious. It was easy to find and easy to reach the freeway headed south out of Hirtshals.

Nothing, everything was fine.
When I arrived late night, Mr. Venos and his family invited me to watch the football match ENG - ITAL. They were so hospital, they offered me home made pastry, beverages and we had an interesting conversation. The hosts are very nice people. Although, some of the renters seem to have problems with opening the door, it was very easy and worked right away. It was self-explanatory. But Mr. Venos also send an instruction. The room was very clean, the toilet and the shower were next door. Venos rooms are very close to the Colorline station, it can easily be reached on foot.

45min walk to the ferry. No staff, this is basically a home stay.
Nice clean house, in a quiet village. 2 blocks from a SPAR.

The toilet didn't lock so it was uncomfortable with other people in the house.

If you are looking for a cheap bed and some (shared) sanitary basics, this is your place. If you want a family holiday stay with 3 bedrooms and occupy a small Danish house at the Northwest of Jutland, surely book this place. There is a parking, garden and a kitchen.

Building is renovated house, however some features like sound insulation between rooms are not excellent. Stairs are sharp and person 190cm like me hits ceiling when walking down. Sewage produce funny sound during showering.

None. I was pleased with my stay.
This place was very well thought through. The house is cozy, plenty of spaces to hang out and chill in the main level. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and a dinning table with placemats, candles, napkins… etc All appliances are available, shower is great! And a bathtub is also available.
