A Little Slice of Paradise in the Danish Countryside Our stay at this beautiful farm in Billund was nothing short of magical. We rented a small house on the property, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at peace, a feeling we had been longing for after coming from a bustling city. The quiet, the fresh air, the open space, the flowers everywhere, it was exactly what we needed. The farm is lovely and very well maintained. Horses, chickens, and cats roam around, and there are opportunities to go horseback riding. The facilities are top-notch, and having our own kitchen was a huge plus. We were able to cook our own meals, and the nearby supermarket made everything convenient. Our little house was spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. But what truly made this stay unforgettable were the owners, Lars and his wonderful wife, Annika. From the very first moment, they made us feel like family. Their warmth, kindness, and generosity touched us deeply. They go out of their way every day to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The connection we felt with them was immediate and genuine. One of the highlights of the stay was the communal fire pit area, which is sheltered so you can enjoy it even in the rain. There’s a table where you can bring your food or make a barbecue, and it’s the perfect place to meet other travelers from around the world. Lars and Annika are always there in the evenings, creating a cozy, inclusive atmosphere that brings everyone together. We are truly sad to be leaving. But we know one thing for certain: if we ever return to Denmark, this is where we’ll be staying again. This place didn’t just give us a peaceful holiday, it gave us beautiful memories and a feeling of home.

As there are horses around, then there are lots of flies. As they don't bite, then they just bother you.

A big bonus for the place is the garden where the children can freely play and were allowed to eat strawberries from the garden.

Unique and wonderful oasis. Our kids loved the trampoline, room full of legos, and space to run around outside. Lars the host was friendly and clearly loved showing off his beautiful property. We met several other guests from around the world while sitting around the fire.

An excellent and quiet location. The hosts were fantastic and so welcoming. The apartment was well looked after, and the bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. There's plenty to do here for children, with climbing frames and toys. There are also lovely grounds & a garden with a pond and wildlife to wander round. If you are staying in the area and looking for somewhere quiet to base yourself, then I would highly recommend the Stutteri Skandihest.

No issues. Billund is a short 15 minute drive away.

Lars and his family were very friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure our kids had an enjoyable time on the farm. We rode horses, played with legos, jumped on the trampoline and pedaled the mini bike/scooters.

The location is a bit out of the beaten path so one would require a car to reach there. However, it is very beautiful to be out of the city so that was a positive thing for us. The owners are lovely, both Lars and Anika accommodated us in the best way possible. We appreciated the wine and the food. The home was also very clean and tidy. We loved there, and are looking forward to visiting again!

Better what could be improved; the apartment could handle 8 people but to handle that with only 1 toilet and 1 shower is a bit challenging next to that the wifi connection was a bit poor.

The location really in nature but still close to Billund. Next to that the very familiar welcome of the owner. There was also a nice place to sit outside at the fireplace.

All reviews says the owners are so lovely. Indeed they are but they only spoke with us in the first minutes and we didn’t see them anymore until we left in the another day. Everything went well but we had some doubts in using amenities and couldn’t ask. Also kids did a horse ride in the first day and was super nice but in the next morning was not possible again because nobody was there. Maybe we had bad lucky on this weekend but still a wonderful place to stay 😀

The property is beautiful with lot of space for kids play and enjoy the stay. Common area with fire place is also nice. Very good place to stay in family and rest with no noise and be relaxed.

I only wish it comes with a washer for a longer stay. That will be perfect!

Overall, it was beyond our expectations! Beautifully maintain garden with trampoline, playground and tent filled with legos. We could not ask for more. Kids have hard time to leave the property. Accommodation is cosy with well-equipped kitchen.

Amazing hosts that made you really welcome. This place is amazing for families. Beautiful gardens, playground, horses that you can ride for no charge, chickens, strawberries and Redcurrant you can pick and eat. The apartment was big and cozy. The fireplace is lit up every evening and you can grill on it. Can’t wait to come back.

Everything was perfect. Nice location near Billund and Legoland. Very friendly hosts. The apartment was clean, convenient and big enough for us. The courtyard is huge and very good designed for children. There is a barbecue. It is really an idyllic place to spend some days out of the city rush. I recommend!

Fantastic farm with wonderful yard and more wonderful host! Superb experience for the whole family. The hosts offers camp fire with barbecue on a daily basis + toys and carts for the little ones. He has a tent full of lego! :)

The shower head was not great, the shower was lovely and powerful but the head was tiny.
