Place was exactly like I imagined, it's an experience ! As one would expect from a cell room, it's small, but again it's exactly what you'd expect. Room was really clean, the beds were comfortable. The shared bathroom was ok, again as you'd expect for a shared bathroom in a jail building. The shared kitchen useful as well, and well stuffed. Staff was ultimatelly useful for late checkin, though arrived on site without knowing if we'd be able to actually get in the room as no instructions were received/communicated (e.g. through booking messaging) prior to arrival. But in the end, all good, check in super fast, really enjoyed the stay, would definitely recommend to anyone looking forward to experiencing such unusual accomodation !

The little stress of not knowing if check-in would be ok as never got check-in instructions as originally planned, but really other than that nothing :)

The surrounding buildings and area were very nice, giving a unique experience to the stay. We were willing to sacrifice comfort in exchange for the experience, but the comfort was worse than our already low expectations. Mattress was very thin, bedding must be made up yourself, room was already unlocked and cold upon arrival and the bathroom is shared. We were told the charge for a dog is 35 DKK over the phone but this was later charged as 200 DKK.

It gives the creeps - the stories of the prisoners in the rooms and the bars behind the windows do the trick. It's simple as a prison cell can be, but the whole hostel is superbly clean. Good value for money.

It's definitely not a cozy, boutique hotel, but on the other hand should it be...? :) Beds are rather too short for a guy over 190cm

We were attending the convention so being so close to everything was really handy

An extra key for the room would have been useful as my partner and I always had to coordinate who would keep the key

It’s a special place, with a history. And you see that the history is respected, also in the interior of the building. In this place, you get good value for money, and what you see is what you get.

If you’re on foot, you just have to know that it’s not in the city center. We had bikes, so no problem at all

We love the suggestion to be in prison 😀😀😀

We are travelling with a small dog and we were ready to pay a supplement but we were not ready to pay 30 euro 😱😱😱.

Couldn't check in before the time... so we had to sleep in the car. But I can't blame them!

The only thing they should improve is to put basic services avaible for the guests, like hairdryers. I asked for an hairdryer at the reception and they hadn't got one to give me.
