Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFor me there was nothing I did not like.
This Danhostel has an amazing view across the water & of the ruins of Kalø castle. We were fortunate to have the end room upstairs so we could open the door and admire the view. Danhostels are simple but clean with a good bathroom / shower. As a family of 4 we were all in bunks, which were very comfortable & quite fun. We used our own bedding as it was cheaper and we were on a tour so only stayed two nights. We paid for breakfast which was excellent & served in a room with a stunning view. There are plenty of communal sitting areas both inside & outside. I think for us British this can initially feel a bit unusual but it makes for a lovely, friendly atmosphere.

GermanyThe room had no TV and neither washing machine nor tumble dryer was available. The path up from the car park to the building entrance was quite steep and gravelly, making hauling luggage up rather difficult - a paved path would be much easier to use. The whole property including the outside areas is non-smoking with only a bench outside available for smokers. There's not much going on in Rønde and the road to the town centre is very busy.
We've enjoyed the Danhostel in Nykøbing Mors several times but this was our first time in Rønde. There are fifteen rooms in total each with a door opening directly to the outside. Seven are on the ground floor with the door directly onto the terrace with tables and chairs. The others are accessed via a choice of two staircases to a shared external balcony with a great view over the bay. The rooms are larger and more modern than in Nykøbing with two single beds and two fold down bunk beds above these. There are plenty of sockets, a table and two chairs and the bathroom is quite large with a very nice shower. The small communal kitchen has two fridges and a small freezer for guests' use, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, four-ring induction hob & fan oven along with utensils and crockery. There is a small dining room adjoining the kitchen with three tables. You can bring your own pillow cases, sheets & duvet covers or hire a set from the hostel. There is a garden, a snug with a fridge with beer, soft drinks and wine for sale and a rec-room with sofas, a TV & free table football. There are two supermarkets within a short walk and several restaurants & a nice local bodega right by the bus station where there are frequent services to Aarhus, Ebeltoft and the surrounding area.

The idea is brilliant. Easy to find, easy to check in and check out. Perfect location to stay over night near by the Aarhus airport. 10mins drive distance. Clean and cozy, acceptable price. The only thing is you need to carry your luggage’s from the parking to the room about 50 meters.

GermanyI have nothing to complain about.
Small hostel, interesting concept with the glass fronts for each apartment. The entire housing is directed towards the bay, with a nice view over the sea. Room was sufficiently furnished, beds were comfortable, shower was good. Breakfast was excellent, the breakfast room has an incredible view towards the bay. Not a 5-star-hotel, but I enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back!

IcelandI would have paid for having the beds made, but that wasn't an option, the linen was available in a closet in the room. Also it would be nice if the trail from the parking lot to the facilities was laid with stone instead of gravel.
Breakfast buffet with a decent selection, My room was nice and clean aswell as the private bathroom. Common room was comfy with plenty of room and a self serve bar stocked with wine beer and sodas.
