How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathroom could do with a foot mat. Also the combination of a barrier free shower with a shower curtain results in a rather wet bathroom floor. It would have been good if the hotel not only offered lactose free yogurt but also lactose free milk.
First we were really pleased with the staff. We were stuck in traffic, but everything was prepared for an after-hours check-in. Also as promised the parking spot with the EV charger was reserved. In the end, we arrived about 10 minutes before reception closure - still the staff greeted as friendly and was in no rush to go home. The room was clean and quiet. It was overall of good size. The beds were quite hard, but still very comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast had a decent selection: some veggies, warm and cold option, sweet and savory. I would not recommend the latte prepared by the coffee machine. But the black coffee was pretty good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If we need to stop over again in Aalborg, we would stay here again.

The breakfast start at 7.30 instead 7.00 on the weekend. My train was too early in order that I could eat.

The rooms were not close to each other as requested and in advance. Also toilet really not in suitable place. Breakfast ok, not superb, but ok.
location was really nice, parking also possible, you have to reserve the spot separately though.

Good hotel with art museum and city centre within short walking distance. Parking with the possibility to charge the car was excellent.

My biggest oversight was not noticing the lack of air conditioning when booking, which proved challenging during a summer stay. Regarding cleaning, I requested service on Wednesday (mid-week for our Sunday-to-Sunday stay), but only the towels were changed, and the bed was partially made. Given other reviews I'd read about cleanliness, I decided not to pursue it further. Our "apartment" was unfortunately located behind the hotel, right in the parking lot and adjacent to the smoking area. This meant that with windows open due to the summer heat, we experienced constant noise and smoke infiltration from the yard. Considering all these issues, the amount I paid for this stay felt far too high; half the price would have been more realistic.
The breakfast offered a satisfactory start to the day. While quite basic, it provided a decent spread including a selection of breads, eggs, sausages, pastries, various cheeses, hams, and jams. The coffee machine offered both coffee and hot chocolate, though I personally didn't find the beverages particularly enjoyable. A major highlight was the exceptionally friendly staff, who were always eager to assist with any questions. The location is truly excellent, directly opposite the train station and just a short walk from the city center.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Lots of choices both hot and cold. Hotel is opposite train station so easy to get around. Easy 5 minutes to centre of town with lots of restaurants to choose from.

Bathroom was tiny, even for me (I'm not tall), breakfast was OK.
Location is less than 10 min walk from the city centre and right in front of the train station, the staff is super friendly and helpful, very good value for money.

Neon sign outside of window (room 119) gives a lot of light into the room, had to "fix" this with pushing the curtains into the window sil. Bathrooms could use an update, functional, but a bit dated.
Calm hotel Modern new beds. Street sounds were not a problem. Breakfast is OK.

Those were hot days and there was no airconditioning. However I knew it and they gave me a fan. So all good still.
Next to train and bus station. Easy to travel around. Nice breakfast.
