How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was excellent. It was also a great place to bring a child - the apartment is super cozy, there were toys to play with, and the farm is peaceful and fun to explore. I wish we would have had more time there. We also brought a dog, which worked out very nicely.

Verified reviewThe place is very unique and the owner is very nice. The outside and the inside is very ecologic.
The place was not a good fit for us, with 4 kids. I think it would have been much nicer for a couple. The outside was full of slugs so you almost couldn't walk outside without stamping them. The room itself was small for a family of 6, and we couldn't take a shower since the shower head wasn't adjustable, and the entire bathroom was a bit small. The kitchen was not welcoming at all and it was to small so we couldn't really cook there.

Verified reviewOur teenager said the place was unique, relaxing and served a healthy breakfast. The beds was very good and we slept all well. We enjoyed the conversations with the host. My better half had a lovely connection with the garden and the animals.
WIFI capacity - the signal seemed to drop when there were more quests.

We care about this. Jørgen has also his office in the same house and it is super important also for his work that this is working all the time. He is also part of the antena and;internet commission, to make sure that we have the best that we can get with the possibilities that we have. Maybee we´ll see each other again next summer.

Verified reviewEverything was great! From the moment of meeting to the last second of stay. Very nice owner met us and told us about the accommodation and the features of the stay. The apartment impressed us with its beauty, comfort and functionality. Despite the cool weather, the rooms were very warm and comfortable. There were enough blankets and pillows. Kitchen had all the necessary things. A very tasty and varied breakfast made from local products was wonderful. Placing the apartments far from the city is the best that can be- silence and nature! Verified reviewThe location is a bit far away from the city, but that’s the reason that makes the place special. The host kindly showed us around their farm. It is a really special stay by Petersholm.
You have to pay 30dkk for bed sheets, that’s a little bit inconvenient.

Warning! Alert! We had rats in our room! The room was very dirty! Cat hair everywhere, the sheets and towels smelled of mould! The house smelled of mould! It was a horrific place. Do not go there with children! You can not lock your room. The toilet smelled very bad and no wiped surfaces. The host might be nice but I think they have to realise they are selling a stay and with that an expectation from us as customers. Maybe Booking not is the “marketplace” for this people….Pls be more clear about what you are selling!!

Verified reviewVery pleasant and helpful host who made us feel welcome. Apartment has all you need and is good value. You need a car as it is a way out but nice peaceful location.
Won't suit all as it has no locks and has a very bohemian feel. However I doubt there are or have ever been any security issues
Hello Bernard. Thank you for taking your time and writting about Petersholm. You are right, we have never had any security problems at the property. The guests that are staying at Petersholm can come in and out as they want. Any time during the day and night ( of course making sure not to wake up the other guests ) Many people come by car, but there is also a train to Skanderborg and Odder and then the bus 331 that leaves you at the forest and then walking the last bit, so there is also a posibility without a car. Some people had been hitchhiking as well. It is secure in DK and I have tried it also to come and go from Petersholm.
