It looks like a huge gym from the outside, the hostel reception isn’t really visible from outside. Not very clean room

    Decent price. Basic facilities

You make the bed and arrange the blanket yourself. Poor sound insulation in the rooms.

A good choice for an overnight stay while traveling. Cleanliness is okay.

Bed and pillow were functional but not very comfortable.

Inexpensive option close enough to downtown to make it viable. The main business seems to be the pool more than the hostel (families seem to come for the day), so if you enjoy that, take it as a plus. Small communal kitchen available.

The only trouble we had with the weighty door where you need two hands to open it from inside which is very inconvenient. The plus of the fireproof door is however that it is quite noise-proof as well which can help as there are more people in the hostel. The largest problem is however that the kitchen is rather a kitchenette - very small and with very few utensils to use.

This is a large hostel and we had a four-bed room. There were two pairs of bunk beds, table, and three chairs plus an open storage place (shelves) for our staff. Enough place for a short stay with a large window and a bathroom. We took breakfast for an additional payment but it was not very expensive and very good and we enjoyed it. The hostel has a swimming pool and we were told that as guests we don't have to pay extra if we want to use it but it works short on fridays and much shorter on weekends so due to our heavy schedule we were not able to use this opportunity. The hostel has a large and convenient parking. It is located in Norresundby but still you can walk to Aalborg from there. We had bicycles and it was perfect to start a trip from there. We were also allowed to leave the car for the nights between our two booked nights with no additional payment which was very convenient and nice.

I liked the area and that the room was clean. However, it seems like the cost of the room was reflective of its quality. It's always important to weigh the pros and cons and decide what's best for your situation.

All the beds are single. There are no double beds for couples that look odd on my trip.

Hostel is a very accessible location to supermarkets and restaurants. Price looks cheap compared to other hotels with the amenities they are offering. Awesome swimming pool for elders and kids, superb spa and sauna.

The info about check in in the e-mail wasn't correct since it didn't take into consideration that it was a holiday. That was not a huge issue, and check-in worked fine, but it meant that there was no one to answer any questions. With the signing also being rather sparse I spent quite some time (even with the help of other guests) to even find my room. There was no possibility to order breakfast, and the whole atmosphere was rather cold and unpersonal. Generally there could be a lot more information available at the front desk and on signs for those cases, when "reception is closed". Sound proofing between the hallways and the rooms is practically non-existent, and since the hallways are all stone and the kitchen opens right into the hallway it was really loud until sometime around midnight.

Considering prices in Denmark, this was decent value for the money. Everything worked and was clean. So totally what one can reasonably expect from a hostel or "sports hotel". It's probably a good place to stay if you're travelling with a family or group, but also okay as a solo traveller. The lady who was there in the morning (when I checked out) was really nice.

The construction work was so significant that the place looked unoccupied and then after booking we learned the pool was not functioning. There was a mound of dirt window high and they fired up the bulldozer behind our first floor room at 745 am. Our keys didn’t even work to let us enter the gym area where the pool was. We felt like we were staying at a community center YMCA. It was unnerving and didn’t feel safe.

    The outdoor gym equipment.

Cleanliness of common facilities was lacking. Limited information given on check in- there is no “reception “ to the hostel, it is just the reception of the rec centre. Top bunks had very low railing - I would not put a kid up there. While the photos in the Booking.com platform of this hostel do seem to be of the actual location, they must have had an excellent photographer…it is not as nice as I expected based on the pictures. Could also be partly because they seem to be undergoing a renovation.

Bottom beds were comfortable (top bunks not so much). Sheets were clean. Table and three chairs - nice to be able to sit.

We could not really find it at first, then we couldnt find the rooms there was no instruction of how to find them on the late check in sheets. We got one towel/duvet set and we’re with two, there are cobwebs in the room, we had a spring jump out, quite some noise at different hours & the curtain rod fell down.

We had our own bathroom and beds were comfortable
