Nothing, it was a very nice hotel with a reasonable price.

This is a convenient hotel to spend a night during a road trip around Denmark. It has a very good quality/price ratio, given that Denmark is quite expensive in general, and the rooms were very clean. It isn't a luxury hotel but it's exactly what we expected and I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants to travel on a budget. Very friendly staff as well.

There was no one at the reception when I arrived at about 17:13 in the afternoon, but on the front desk the key to the room was in a envelope marked with my name. As a Motel it was very good. The breakfast was good but it was very minimalist and not much to choose from. The lady who served was very nice.

The fridge in the room was so noisy, it was hard to sleep. I think the oven should be taken out as well, no point for it to be there if you can’t use it. The blinds on the outside door doesn’t reach edge to edge nor does it reach the floor so someone can easily see inside. But these are minor things that can be very quickly solved, and for only 1 night it doesn’t matter much.

I liked the “hands off” check in and check out, very straightforward and quick.

Hotel is located on a quiet industrial estate at edge of town. Little hard to reach when arriving by train. No shops or restaurants near by.

Very simple motel, provides the basic needs for overnight stay (bed, shower, roof) for a low price. Self service breakfast included.

When you travel by train and citybus the possibilities for having dinner close to the motel is quite limited. It requires that you take the bus back into Herning city centre to have dinner - unless you go next door to the bowling centre ;-) Maybe it could be an idea to have some advertisements for take out places that are able to deliver food to guests at the motel. Breakfast; could be great if is was extended to last from 7-9.30

The motel was in walking distance to Jyske Bank Boxen where we attended a concert. The room was fine; clean, good size, comfy beds, possibility for tea/coffee making etc, small fridge. We visited the bowling centre next to the motel where we had a burger before we walked to Boxen. Otherwise, not so many possibilities for having dinner close to the motel, but this was fine for us under our circumstances. The breakfast is tasty and with a good variety.

A little expensive.

The staff (the two ladies) were really sweet and helpfull as they tried to make it our best stay. The location is not really in the centre but it is at a walking distance. Breakfast was easy but fresh and tastefull. The tidiness everywhere in the building. That is a big plus.

Some evenings it was hard to sleep because you could hear everything from the other room.

Place was great and owner was lovely person. We loved to stay in Motel Poppelvej! Beds were good, everything was clean. The motel was the nicest one we have ever visited 🙂
