We found our lodgings, the Hotel Marie easily and what a truly delightful place it was. From our initial warm welcome, to our spacious room, to the generally high quality air of the whole place, it was a little gem. At breakfast, the variety of dishes on offer was well in keeping with the high-standards, the waitress even found a pot for my (English) husband's tea. The garden was well kept and inviting for a bit of relaxation.

If I have to mention two very very minor things I’d say that breakfast starts a bit too early. We needed to leave by 07.30 and it would have been good to get a coffee and a pastry at 07.00. The other was that the bathroom light was really bright and the bed faced the door, so if your partner gets up in the night for the bathroom you’ll be woken with the light… this was room 11. Both did not take away from the fact that this is a wonderful hotel and I’ll definitely plan to come back

The location in the center of Skagen is both a plus (close to all attractions and a great base for exploring) and a minus (noise from the streets at night). The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable. Big, convenient free parking.

Excellent stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great but is opposite a working harbour - fine for us as we were up early and ear plugs are provided in the room.

Our room was above a popular pub and we were there over a public holiday meaning the pub was loud and open late. The earplugs left in the bedrooms were a clue that we might be disturbed by the pub noise (until 3am!) but it would have been better if we had been given a choice of another room.

The staff are great - I accidentally left a ring behind in our room and the receptionist called me to tell me they had found it and then made sure I got it back after we returned home from our trip.

Facilities were fantastic. Breakfast and staff were amazing. We were upgraded on arrival for no extra cost as we booked the music room not knowing that it was overtop the bar next door. Wonderful stay. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Breakfast was lovely, with a good choice of items, constantly topped up. We loved the bread. Was able to hire bikes from the hotel and cycled to where the 2 seas meet, the buried church and Rabjerg Mile. Very close to shops/restaurants. Free parking. Everything was very clean.

We arrived late in the evening after an afternoon ferry and train trip. Self check-in was no issue to organise and there was an honesty system for a couple of well needed beverages from the hotel bar. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. Beautiful little hotel in the gorgeous town of Skagen.

Our 2 bedroom stay was directly above a pub. It wasn’t very noisy but Ask for a room at the other side of a little noise / smoke bothers you when windows open.

Location - shops / restaurants nearby and just a 3km gentle bike ride ( mostly bike track and quiet roads) to grenen. Bike hire was available from the hotel. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Able to use the lobby at night with an ‘honesty list’ for drinks and snacks. Large 2 bed apartment with very comfortable beds.

Perfect location, just off the seashore. Very new and well maintained buildings and rooms. Very large two floor room for our family which was extremely comfortable and well laid out.

Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Very nice breakfast buffet. Close to many restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Bikes available for rent.
