The windows didn’t open and my husband felt uncomfortable leaving the terrace door open. No AC so it got a bit stuffy and warm.

Lovely location nestled in the dunes, close to an amazing beach and within walking distance of the lighthouse and restaurants.

I stayed one night on June 9, 2025—Pentecost Monday, a public holiday. The booking confirmation from Booking.com clearly stated that check-in is not possible before 3 PM. I arrived shortly before 3, only to be informed by the front desk that it would be closing in a few minutes due to the holiday. I don’t mind adjusted hours on holidays, but guests should be informed of this in advance. The hotel has no on-site restaurant—neither dinner nor breakfast is available. Be cautious with payments: I provided my credit card the evening before to secure the booking and again the next day for final payment. However, I was charged twice. The refund process has been slow and cumbersome. Despite multiple follow-ups and confirmation that I was due a refund, I still haven’t received the payment—19 days later.

The location is excellent, right by the beach. The room was functional and acceptable, though nothing particularly special.

Beds and decoration could be improved

Great location, room was clean but outdated, new beds and bedding would be added value, bathroom looks straight out of 1960s, with all pipes showing. Our room was without kitchen, just a fridge and water boiler. Easy access to beach, pool inside. Good parking. Dog friendly.

One of our rooms ran out of toilet paper and had no addtional role. We arrrive late and could not get towels. Our oven and the kitchen fan did not work. I tried to pay for both rooms on line, but one would not let me in. Getting in touch with the office 9 hours time difference was difficult so I tried to cancel, but could not contact anyone. I finally booked another room, smaller, through Booking.com. Four days before arrival your company tried to reach for payment on the one I could not access. They are not asking for me to pay it anyway.

If you arrive after 4PM, no staff is here to explain you where to go. I received an email. The place is really large, go find your key. No service: if you want you can buy some bread for breakfast but you have to tell it the day before. If you arrive after 4PM, it is too late. Bring your own stuff, there is a boiler in the room.

The place is really quiet (if your room is not ont the parking side...), beds are comfortable.

For the price i expected the room to be more clean ,especially the bathroom. Shower head was all gunked up so water didn't run properly, the toilet was absolutely disgusting and made me not want to use it. Overall for the price i paid i felt like it was pretty bad. A lot of stains on the bed and bed sheets after the cover was removed, TV was sub par, internet was laughable. Only stayed here because it was close to the ferry and it was the only place that was open for cats

The staff were a little unexpectedly relaxed, didn't really know which rooms we were to be in. I had asked questions about laundry facilities and didn't receive an answer even when I checked in (I forgot to ask in person). It was white expensive for yhe basic service. I wasn't sure where to put our garbage when we checked out. You could post locations where guests could put their garbage

We didn't take the breakfast options. The location was great - yellow building restaurant in Hirsthals was terrific. It was clean. I was really glad there were staff there to help us check in & out. The online reviews were a bit critical of this in the past, so I think they responded well to make changes.

It was dissapointing that most of the activities such as table football, tabletennis balls, minigolf, massagechair all came with extra cost. I could have used a USB charge outlet at the room.
