There was a door in the hall where there was one step down and the back up one step in 3 ft., the width of a landing for a private stair/emergency exit to the first floor. It was noisy every time it was opened and awkward. Perhaps it would be better to put the door at the head of the stairs.

We stayed in a room with two single beds, but the space felt quite limited. A double bed might be a better fit for the room’s size and layout.

A very small room and a tiny kitchen. A steep staircase to the rooms. Never met the host. No breakfast. Clean though. Not the best experience on our trip.

It was good but be aware that there is only 2 bathrooms for many rooms then there is a waiting for use to the toilets.

There was some noise from room neighbors and also the shared bathrooms were a bit messy (e.g. floors left wet from somebody showering before and not leaning up after themselves)

The bed was super comfy and the location was great. We appreciated the shared kitchen facilities and free coffee and tea provided. We enjoyed the breakfast in the attached Cafe in the mornings.

The cafe was so nice… good energy… everything was so clean bathroom and sleeping room possibilities to use a little kitchen… But the room was so so little, very claustrophobia, only for sleeping in the room and nothing else…

The rooms are not noise-insulated whatsoever, so you can hear everything from the other guests and you lose privacy with that.

The city is quite small, but really charming. It’s cute for a day trip, and walk around the beach and see the pretty beach huts. The hotel was well-kept and in a good location.

Super nice welcoming by Jesper and he was really helpful in proposing solutions to store my luggage outside of the check-in hours. The place was quiet. The room cosy and comfy. Shared bathroom was super clean. The shared kitchen in addition is quite convenient. I do recommend this guesthouse !! The Café is also a great place with a cosy atmosphere to go for a fulfilling Complete breakfast before going hiking.

Do not recommend if traveling with a family with younger (under 12) children. Small-ish rooms with lack of soundproofing make conversations (both yours and others) 100% audible. Windows in all rooms open, but beware mosquitoes if traveling in summer months.

Located on a beautiful street in central Ærøskøbing. Easy walking distance to everything you would need for a lovely vacation on a spectacular island. Rooms are cozy and aesthetically pleasing. Nice courtyard and cafe - shared kitchenette and bathrooms are clean and adequate.

Beautiful town, property in centre, old house and not much room but perfectly adequate. Small kitchen allows breakfast (or simply go downstairs to the excellent cafe or bakery next door). Easy walk from ferry.

I had a wonderful time at kefs guesthouse, the people were friendly and helpful. The room and shared bedroom were spotless and spacious!! I didn't order the full breakfast, but the croissants were great!!! The location is great, in the middle of the town.
