DenmarkThe decor is outdated, and no cleaning was done during the 5 days that we lived in the room.
It was a small room in the hotel across the street from the train station. There is no reception, but figuring out how to get a key was straightforward via telephone. There are nice places to eat in the vicinity.

Convenient and comfortable stay. Nothing fancy, but clean and suitable for one night to take the early morning ferry to Æro on our cycling tour. Water cooker and refrigerator in the room. Coffee and tea are available in the hallway. For breakfast options guests will have to walk to the Svendborg Hotel or a local bakery/coffee place. Surprisingly quiet, given that the room faced the street. Checking in is very easy and done remotely through a telephone in the lobby. The hotel has an elevator, which enabled us to safely store our bicycles in our room. Overall a very pleasant stay, with easy access to the city center and harbour area.

United KingdomNoisy German neighbours on balcony until 23:30. Not hotel’s fault, just inconsiderate people. No staff onsite, contactable by phone in lobby.
Comfortable beds, clean, powerful shower. Good location. Easy walk to harbour area for evening food and beer. Bakery close by for breakfast, opens 6:30. 4 parking spaces at rear of hotel (small tight spaces though), 1 hour parking out front for about 6 cars (free from 18:00 to 9:00) but opposite bus station, paid multi-storey parking behind hotel (free from 18:00 to 9:00, no ticket required in this period) which is what we used.

( might be good to give this info when checking in) Then the lights at the bed were not working. The door had a window. That I could not darken(no curtain) lit up the room all night.

This hotel has no staff on the premises. Everything is done by intercom. The room was modern and clean; the bed, comfortable. There is no place for breakfast nearby, except 7-11. It is close to the train station and the ferry terminal. There are several restaurants within a couple of blocks.
