Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe key was difficult to use since it wasn't a regular deadbolt or hotel key. 2 flights of stairs to our room was difficult with 2 large rolling suitcases and 2 backpacks especially because the stairs were old, small and steep. The staff didn't offer to help with the bags or advise on the weird key.
Breakfast included, great view, historic building.

CanadaAlthough close to the airport, it's on the opposite side of the facility from the terminals... so a taxi or bus ride is required. The bus was convenient enough but you need Danish cash to purchase a bus ticket to return to the airport. Most of all the place needs a reno as it could be great ... as it probably was years ago when the decor was fresh.
Cozy, charming place in a tranquil setting on the coast. Very dated and tired decor but comfortable enough. Breakfast options were few but everything was fresh and enjoyable. The burger shack a few minutes walk away is fantastic ... absolute must if you spend the night here.

NetherlandsThe hotel is in need of investment as it's in danger of going from faded glory to dilapidation. Capitalise on the location (beach front) and proximity to the airport (simple oasis for business travellers, easy access to the city ...). However, above all, hospitality relies on the staff being hospitable and whilst they were not unfriendly and were helpful, there was no sense of pride, passion or enthusiasm for their work. More of this (and the aforementioned re-branding) might help to generate income for the much needed renovations. Good luck!
We enjoyed the 'faded glory' and non-corporate charm of the hotel. It has some beautiful older Danish furniture and the weather-beaten facade added to the experience. The beach location was also an enjoyable feature and the sunrise over Sweden was a definite bonus.

United States1.Hotel is old enough and it is not vintage or antique, it is just old. 2.To check-in after midnight you have to address the night guard man, what wasn’t easy. It would be better to have the coded key boxes at the room door. 3.They don’t have a shuttle bus.
Location is quite good, though it might be closer to the airport, breakfast was good too.

LithuaniaBreakfast was a little too simple. The place, although very charming, wasn't very comfortable (for example the sink is very small, hard to wash your face without water splashing everywhere).
A very charming hotel, definitely has that nice old vibe. The view of the sea and the bridge was fantastic.

HungaryOur room was in the annex, overlooking the street, so we had to keep the curtains pulled in and still heard all the passers-by. It was an economy room, so I did expect something basic, but it seemed a bit neglected (mould in the bathroom, the TV hanging on the wall at a weird angle, the plug above the bed also hanging so I was afraid to use it, the paint was chipped off on the doors, the chair felt as if it was ready to fall apart, there was neither wardrobe nor at least hangers or shelves, so we had to keep all our clothes in the suitcases). We paid less or the same in much better quality Danish hotels, so I found this place rather overpriced, and altogether a disappointing experience. It's an outdated beach hotel, not an airport hotel (although it's indeed about 12 minutes drive from the airport).
Good breakfast, availability of parking (although I'm not sure if it's sufficient, we took the last space when we arrived in the evening). The room was clean, with towels, WiFi, TV, kettle with coffee and tea.

LithuaniaNothing we didn’t like, but we have compiled a list of quick wins that would help get better ratings: 1) Cut all the tags off the bath curtains - it makes the interior feel unnecessarily cheap. 2) Have umbrellas available for the guests. The Danish summer weather is a fickle thing and your guests would appreciate the gesture. 3) Drop the Copenhagen Airport Hotel name. It’s tacky and does not do justice to this cozy old beach hotel. Nor does it do justice to Dragør which is a wonderful historical town. 4) Have CLEAN baby chairs available. Babies are messy and it’s enough work cleaning up after one’s own little piggy - we don’t want to have to clean up after someone else’s as well. 5) Keep the downstairs area open for your guests!! It’s so nice and cozy. Why deny your guests the chance to sit down there and read a book, have a chat and/or drink a beer? It would feel like a big upgrade and costs nothing. 6) Add a fridge with beer and a a way to pay for it (self service) in the area downstairs. Extra money for you and a feeling of extra comfort for your guests. Feel free to make snacks available too. Late arrivers might appreciate it. 7) Add small fridges in the rooms - or at least some of them. We booked the most expensive room in the hope that it would have a small fridge where we could keep food and milk for our baby. Unfortunately no luck for us. 8) Consider getting TV2. It’s the second most common channel in Denmark. Why did I have to watch the European Championship on my phone when there’s a perfectly functioning TV in the room? That’s all. That would push the hotel from god to great in our books. Hope it helps. :)
Cozy old beach hotel! Worth the stay! We really took a risk with the poor ratings, but decided to do so based on the positive recent reviews. It paid off. We had a lovely time there. Atmosphere is cozy, room was nice, staff was great (super helpful and friendly) and breakfast was tasty (despite not offering much in terms of choice).
