Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNeeds an additional bedside lamp, as it was quite dark with just the weak overhead light and one lamp. The curtains were very thin - needs lined curtains and ideally blinds or some sort of muslin. I clipped up a couple of scarves to give privacy as the apartments opposite and gardens below can look straight in . We took our own travel kettle - thank goodness we did as it doesn't seem to be a 'thing' to provide this is Danish accommodation - saved us a fortune!
nice big room, constant hot water, good water pressure, friendly helpful staff (especially Marius - Exceptional! ). Location - right next to bus stops for central Copenhagen and 5 mins walk from Metro. Direct bus and metro to airport too. Supermarket next door, reasonably priced bar beneath serving snacks and coffee. lots of opening windows for fresh air when required. Nice soft bedding and pillows, fresh towels daily if required

DenmarkWhile the room was clean, a couple things were broken: Shower head could not be attached to the wall, you were forced to hand-hold it. One bed was old and you could feel the springs inside it. Only one single place to hang your hangers for your shirts - it was broken and fell off the wall if you hung more than one shirt on it. We didn't get a "do not disturb" paper for our door either.
Staff at the entrance was kind and welcoming. Rooms were tidy. There wasn't a lot of noise.

NetherlandsIt’s a bit of a historical place, so the facilities are a bit outdated. The sink is tiny and there was no furniture in the bathroom, couldn’t leave my stuff there and had to carry it every time with me to the shower.
Location is very good, easy to reach city center by foot or public transportation. Room is very spacious and weak equipped, staff is very friendly and helpful. Despite being on top of a pub, I didn’t hear any noise. Even went to the pub myself, cool spot. Daily cleaning was also a plus.

Spainlocation, very helpful and supportive stuff
Good value-for-money proposition. Just bear in mind that it’s a 2-star, nothing more. Bring your own toiletries — the ones they provide are of such low quality, they’re barely usable. Mattresses are ok, too soft for me.

Czech RepublicNo possibility to prepare tea or coffee in the room, no fridge, no wardrobe to store dresses.
Location was excellent: 4 stations by metro from the airport and than in walking distance to many sightseeing attractions in Kopenhagen.

IrelandThe bathroom was functional but kot particularly clean. It was old and run-down with flaking paint and congealed dirt in some corners. The bedroom curtains did not exclude the bright morning light so it was bright in the room from 4am.
The bedroom was big and brght. The beds were fins and were clean.

United KingdomThe room was very small and by the time you put your case on the floor, there wasn't a lot of space left. I missed not having the typical continental (buffet) breakfast. I had to buy my bread and fruit from the supermarket next door.
The location was excellent, primarily for its proximity to a Metro station (Amagerbro). This made it easy to reach both the city centre and the airport. There was also a supermarket next door for supplies, and some good restaurants, bars and coffee shops in the immediate vicinity. Swimmers like myself should also note that the Frankrigsgade Svømmehal is within walking distance. My room at the back of the hotel was very quiet at night so it was easy to get a good night's rest.

United StatesThere didn’t seem to be a lot of soundproofing and I had some loud neighbors. Additionally, as a safety measure, the doors beeped if held open for too long, but the result was an incessant beeping one morning from a room next door to me.
Room was very comfortable and functional. The hotel was very safe, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.

FinlandThe room was superior but it was only a big and ascetic room. I wish there could be a kettle and smaller towels. There was only big towels. The shower and toilet were ok but the shower head was broken and water was all around. A full size mirror and a trash bin in the room would be a nice thing. Breakfast was available really late, at 8.30 a.m.
Nearby Amagerbro metro station, nice beds and bed linen, breakfast was ok, big room.

United StatesA few things -The room was "cleaned" but not well -The sink dripped on the bathroom floor -We requested a quieter room so we could open the windows but were given a room facing the main road (Perhaps that is all they had)
The hotel was well priced and situated for Copenhagen. We had come from Poland so it was fairly expensive compared to our accommodations there. Based on that bias, I expected a little more from the room.
