Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing ! Might be challenging for people with mobility issues due to stairs .
Wonderful location in centre of old town . Easy communication with the owner who let us put our bikes in the small seating area . We had fourth floor room which meant quite a few stairs but we didn’t mind as the view from our room was great . We had everything we needed with a clever wardrobe that opened up into a small kitchen ! We were able to sleep with windows open as the square restaurants closed around 10.30 . Great bakery round corner for breakfast .

CanadaLocation: smack in the historic city center. The place is a beautiful studio apartment, with a bathroom (shower), a kitchenette, and a superb view onto a historic city square. The apartment is so well-organized that a traveler lacks for nothing. Strong WiFi. Excellent throughout.

AustraliaWe had large suitcases with us which was a challenge to get to the top of the spiral staircase.
The historic house was brilliantly located on the market place. We had a spacious room, comfortable bed and gorgeous view. We bought breakfast downstairs in the very good bakery each morning.

Czech RepublicWe were quite puzzled at the arrival when no one was at the reception, so we had to call the owner, who answered after few minutes, to give us a code to our key box. All of which went smooth. One thing that could be uncomfortable for some older or disabled people is the fact that the building does not have a lift. So when we learned that our apartment is on the 5th floor and we had to climb that up after our 100 km bike ride, we had a true challenge ahead of us :-) The kitchen was quite big and had some equipment and appliances which were listed in the itinerary, however, for us it lacked a cutting board and a dish washing sponge. The bed was big but too soft to our taste. Nevertheless, all of these mentioned points were just small flaws (among all the pluses) almost not worth mentioning.
Accomodation located right in the city centre with breathtaking view. Quite calm location with interesting surroundings. We could check in during later evening, the owner was very friendly and helpful and let us store our bikes right at the reception. You can get an amazing spacious apartment with equipped kitchen on request. Everything was super clean. Definitely worth the money.

GermanyIt was a little bit loud outside, but it's a big city, so can't really fault the stay, that should be expected.
Room was wonderful, clean and with a historical feel to it (very pleasant surprise). The hosts put a lot of thought with extra necessities and information was very useful too, since it was my wifes and I first visit to Bautzen. Price was excellent too and the check-in was great. Would definitely like to get back there again. Thank you very much!

UkraineWater pressure is good everywhere, except shower :( Check in instruction could've been send as sms or via booking chat, instead you need to call and get the pass code for the locker, as there is no reception. Pillows are terrible, they are in desperate need of replacement, sheets weren't soft too, only duvet was nice. Our electric kettle was leaking while pouring the water. If you have luggage and get upper rooms - it may be very challenging to climb the spiral wood stairs. WiFi was quite weak.
It's a great place in a city center for travellers without luggage (our room was upstairs, with a great view). I don't know if all the rooms have such a nice small kitchen hidden in a closet, but our had and it was a surprise for me. The place is clean, in very good condition, considering it's an old house. Everything you need is there: nicely smelling soaps and other small things in the bathroom, comfortable siting aream, coffee, tea. Staff is friendly and helpful, despite the fact they almost don't speak English.

United StatesWe had to take super quick showers, as the warm water won‘t last long enough for two people. It would have been nice to have a second pillow as the one that was provided was not really comfortable or supportive while sleeping. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The church bells, right in front if the hotel, ring every hour also during the night.
The room was spacious and exceptional clean. The fully equipped kitchen offered everything you would need for a longer stay. The location was great for exploring the heart of downtown and you get a great view of the square.

SpainThe apartment is on the 5th floor (!!!!) with no elevator, which is not mentioned anywhere in the booking. I had lots of luggage and after the entire day in the car it was awful to carry it up the narrow stairs. If I'd known, I wouldn't have chosen this place🙁

RomaniaWe did not know we had to climb five sets of stairs to get to our sitting room, and another flight to our bedroom. When you are person with a cane, it is not right to have to carry luggage up six flights of stairs. My poor wife had to carry all of our luggage. The sight needs to say, there are six sets of winding, narrow stairs, with no lift. We loved the place but think Booking.Com owes us a refund.
The hotel is very clean, the woman who met us, I think she is called Peggy, was very, very friendly & helpful. I recommend it, if you can climb stairs.

LithuaniaFirst of all, what annoyed me the most - the hostess does not speak a word of English, so it was difficult to get into the room upon arrival. Breakfast is not available. Payment in cash or a separate bank transfer is required after the stay.
