We have stayed here maybe six times in the past, so we obviously like Hotel zum Engel. The staff have always been welcoming, the room is comfortable and the food is good, I particularly like the breakfast. I'm not sure if Mespelbrunn is a village or a very small town but it is nice and peaceful with an interesting castle. Apparently it is good walking country. One day we will stay for more than one night and check that out.

We chose this hotel for a 2 night stop on our way to Austria. We had a clean spacious comfortable room just as described. Although the restaurant was closed on our first night we were recommended to a nearby place which was worthwhile We seemed to be the only guests, yet our choices for breakfast would put many a 5 star hotel to shame.

Good location, friendly owners. We were able to order a great dinner, it was very tasty. Good breakfast. The door to the bathroom was a bit of a nuisance because of its noise. Very clean room. Super.

There's nothing I didn't like! This hotel is worth visiting again and also the cafe with all the home made cakes on it's own is worth the visit and stay.

A lovely hotel, owners and staff went beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Gardenview and very peaceful. Breakfast was fantastic and certainly worth it.

It is a beautiful decorated and remodeled hotel. From the outside it doesn’t look that great but I hope they will remodel it as well. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is the best that we had so far and the dinner is original German food which taste so delicious.

Had a problem checking in as the building was locked and found out on check in that the restaurant and bar were closed on Mondays!

Great location for visiting Schloss Mespelbrunn, very comfortable room, easy on site parking and very high quality produce breakfast!

We have stayed here three times before, so we clearly like it. Comfortable clean room with a balcony. The hotel has its own parking, with no need to reserve. We had our meals on the veranda which was very nice during a warm August. Both dinner and breakfast were very enjoyable. I hope we will return again in the future.

Great quite location with beautiful scenery. Plenty of parking space at the rear of the hotel. Restaurant serve large portions, and food taste great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and the whole hotel were perfectly clean. We will definitely return.

Amazing location- very beautiful. Very comfortable accommodations, great shower. Loved our balcony. We had dinner in their restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were so nice. We felt very welcome. The decor was charming. Breakfast was top notch. Eggs, bacon, pancakes. Cold cuts, cheese, different types of rolls, yogurts, cereals, coffees. My entire family - that included two teenagers- was very impressed with the quality and variety of the food offered. The lady that helped us was very sweet.

Stop in quiet, green area. Good mix of the charm of an old family property and the adequate comfort / renovation. Very good food at dinner and breakfast. Great owners / staff. Park in front with children playground, farm animals, benches… Big free parking. Old castle 5 min by foot. Dogs welcome.

Everything is very clean. Room is bigger than I expected and it’s morden. I love the beautiful blue color of the couch :D Friendly staffs. I stayed in the room with balcony facing the garden, you can see the forest and small hill too. It’s quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh. I love the pancakes. There are several tables outside at balcony also facing the garden. It’s really nice! I also love the old pictures on the lobby wall showing the history of the hotel and the family who owns it.

Comfortable beds, quiet location, dog friendly, good breakfast. The rooms seem to have been recently renovated and there are wall sockets on City sides of the bed.
