Garden backed on to room we had, other guests very noisy late into night right outside. Not fault of property, but beware.. 25 min walk to either of 2 towns property sits between. The offices car park is adjacent but access is not obvious.

Front desk lady was very helpful to accommodate my partners slight lack of.mobility. Given a room with private side access. No stairs. Was technically a downgrade but we were given access to a garage to park motorcycles. Building very nice. Breakfast on balcony. Fresh paint. New bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Fan in room.

A slight inconvenience is that the hotel sits on a one-way street so if you miss it you have to go around a loop to get back. The hotel is not in the town centre so be prepared to walk a bit or drive and park.

Excellent service, spotlessly clean, and nicely appointed facilities. Lovely breakfast with GF options. We stayed as last-minute guests with our large dog who was warmly welcomed. Set against the forest it was very convenient for us to walk the dog and visit old castles along the track. Also if you drive electric there are chargers available within walking distance.

Very friendly staff, beautifully decorated villa, you can go by foot to obertsein where you can find some stores and restaurants, it takes about 15 min. to reach the fountain on the main place (Marktplatz).

The hotel was perfect - quite expensive but I think well worth it.

The location was a little bit of a walk from town but the view from the room was very beautiful onto the forest on the other side of the valley. The staff were lovely and very accommodating with our dog and the breakfast was delicious!!

The staff were all super nice! We had an early flight and check out starts at 8am, she let us pay early and told us to just leave our cards inside the room. She also prepared food for our drive to the airport and delivered it to us the evening before. It was great since we had to wake up at 4:30am. The breakfast was delicious, I miss it so much! The location was perfect from the gas station cornee store, restaurants, and downtown Idar-Oberstein as well as a 6 min drive or 25 min walk to the castle. Will definitely return to this hotel. Ps. For 3 euros per load, they also do laundry, which saved us big time, we stayed 8 days & and nights, so it was a huge help!
