Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech Republic397 / 5 000 The only thing that was really great was the location. The hotel is in the center and it is a short walk to everywhere. Unfortunately, if you want to sleep overnight, it is not the ideal place. Trams run there very often even at night and it is impossible to sleep with the window open. In winter it is probably ok, but in summer, when there is no air conditioning in the room and it is unbreathable because the sun shines there all day, it is impossible to have the window open. Otherwise everything is ok.

NetherlandsThe shared kitchen is downstairs, so you have to walk a bit. Shame: there is no ventilation possibility. Therefore, you have to open the windows at night. The curtains are an 'exact' fit. It's very hard to have the curtains cover the window at the rooms are positioned at the east. So, in the early morning you already get a lot of light inside.
The room is quite large, the bathroom is fine (everything you need and proper cleaned). Triple glass, so when the windows are closed the amount of noise is very low.

GermanyIt was not very clean, there was dust in the corners and a lot of dust in general, probably because of the windows facing the street.
Easy check-in. The room is spacious. Comfortable bed. Location is close to the city center and railway station. Grocery store across the road.

HungaryReal animal skin/fur on the floor. It was disgraceful and disgusting, and bad both for vegans and people with fur allergies. I put it away in the wardrobe... I think the owner should consider removing this from the rooms. The air ventillation in the bathroom turns on immediately when you turn on the main light, and it is very loud. It turns off immediately when the lights are turned off, but I wish there was a separate switch for this. I often found myself only using the mirror light when going to the toilet or taking a shower, because that at least didn't turn the ventillation on. The accommodation is not accessible by wheelchair/for people who have difficulties taking the stairs. Lights in the corridors don't turn on automatically, and we had to use our mobile phones' torch to locate the switches when we arrived to the accommodation in the night.
The room was elegant and clean, and had everything needed for a shorter stay. There was a small fridge, an electric water kettle, a decent-sized table with 2 chairs, and outside the room, on the ground floor there was a kitchen area too, though we did not try/need this. The temperature was nice, and we really appreciated that the big middle window could be opened fully instead of just tilting - letting fresh air into the room was quick&easy this way. Getting in was easy with the codes received. The location was good, with tram, train/S-bahn and bus stops, and also stores&supermarkets within minutes' walk.

QatarThe property located next the Main Street, the traffic and tram service is kind of annoying while you sleeps. Since there is no air conditioning in the rooms, you have to keep the window open to sleep (visit during summer ). So the traffic noise can really disturb your sleeping.
The room was spacious and clean. Plenty of sunlight and ventilation is possible. Rooms are facing the Main Street so easy to access the stores and shops.

TaiwanIt wasn't a problem for me but it may be good to know beforehand that you are staying next to a busy street, so you can hear trams and cars passing by until late in the evening.

CanadaIt seemed very sketchy, it may very well have been us, but we could find our room and we had no contact because the wifi was less than adequate. We were charged for the full week regardless of the situation. I know policy is policy, however there could be partial acceptance in some cases.
We managed to get reservations at another hotel.

United KingdomMe and my two friends stayed here as we were watching our football team Aston Villa play RB Leipzig in the Champions League. And i can fully recommend Mr Werner's accommodation. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was great also! The location is 10/10 with a tram right outside the front door which can take you into the city centre or straight to the train station! There is an Aldi opposite for supplies and you have to try the Donor Kebab place called MC Donor (Next to Aldi) The staff are lovely, and the food was incredible! I loved that you didn't need a key to get into the property, it is all coded. We had 1 slight issue when we went to check in with our code not working, but one quick call to Mr Werner and he reset the system, gave us another code and we were in within 5 minutes! All in all i would recommend this accommodation and Leipzig as a city! And with Villa winning 3-2 in the last minute just topped it off! 10/10!

United KingdomOnly given thick duvets despite the weather being 20°+ during the night, a light sheet would've been much better. Especially as there was no air con or fan provided. Staff were nonexistent, I didn't see a single person the whole 3 days and responses before arrival were extremely slow. Didn't like that all the doors used Nuki smart.locks, these can be easily hacked especially if you're on the same WiFi code so I didn't feel like the room was really that secure. Floor in the bathroom was filthy, only given 1.5 toilet rolls for 2 people for 3 days and towels very small and rough. I don't think it was good value for money at all
The room was a good size and the location was very central. 5 to 10 minute walk into the old town and plenty of bars and cafes nearby. It was pretty easy to find and the bed was quite comfortable.

United KingdomA little confusion about car parking, our host said we could park in front of the building, we did to unload but it is a live traffic filter lane. The local shop keepers advised that the police would fine us if they visited. We parked unrestricted in an adjoining street.
Excellent location within walking distance of the city centre. Clean, spacious and comfortable room within a set of rooms. The building entrance leads to a kitchen available for all guests. We used the washing machine for 2 x 1 euro and the drier for 2 x 0.50 euro, everything dry. Good secure WiFi. The first night we walked to the right down to the old train station where there is a lovely beer garden/restaurant which we really enjoyed. We booked through Booking.com and received a request for our email address so that check in details could be sent. This didn't seem to have been received by the hosts as a Booking.com message, but clear instructions were quickly sent on the day once we called the hosts.
