Great location - across the entrance there is a ski rental, and from that point you can wear skis and „drive“ directly to the lift. Apartment itself was great, specious and clean, we had a separate entrance. Sauna was also great - you pay around 12-13 Euro but get the whole facility for yourself for 1 hour. Breakfast was also very good.

Not a deal breaker for me, but I would have appreciated a kettle in the room.

Welcoming, friendly, and engaging staff. Very clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of food and drinks. On-site restaurant and bar are good options if you're not in the mood to go out. Conveniently located - approx 15 min walk to ski lifts and slightly further to restaurants....less than 5 minutes by car. Taxi from Winterberg station about €10.

It’s not a dealbreaker for a few days of skiing in winterberg. only I missed dryers for the ski stuff in the ski storage. Maybe it’s available but didn’t ask for it because brought my own dryers anyway.

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. It’s at walking distance from the piste and with the car a few minutes from the city center. The room was fresh, spacious, cozy, recently renovated and offered everything we needed. I would definitely book this hotel again when going to ski in Winterberg.

Really loud, could hear shouting and partying till 1 in the morning most nights coming from around the hotel and people talking in their rooms is really audible. The room could do with a kettle and some cups and a safe is always nice for peace of mind. It's far from any restaurants.

Really great breakfast, close to ski slopes, front desk was helpful with information, there's a ski gear rental just outside as well.

Water in toilet was constantly running and very noisy. The hotel tried to fix it several times but was unable to fix the problem during my 3 night stay.

Outdated hotel. The beds were not comfortable. The planks of my bed was broken. Also, we want to make use of the sauna. On the day the staff told us that it was 9 euro per person. During check-out it was 12,50 per person. I made a comment about it and they denied that they have told us that and don’t remember it anymore. We were with 4 persons and we all agreed on the first price. So in the end it was not a pleasant stay.

The location was good. You can walk to the city centre.

Just as another google maps review said, there was indeed an insect (silverfish) underneath the towel in the shower (and on the floor of the breakfast area). The blanket had some suspicious spots on one end. My room was a bit rundown, and there was an old almost musty smell in the air.

The bed was comfortable, the location was solid, and the breakfast was actually really nice!
