The checkin was a bit confusing. We arrived at haus2 with no service desk. I was informed I had to go to haus1 to check in but I had to cross a busy street to do so. When I arrived at haus1 there was no one there, only a few envelopes with names but mine wasn't among them. It felt a bit inpersonal even though we were on time in the designated check in window. Only when I called, someone came to give me the key, told me her colleague forgot to switch the keys. The door had to be locked from the inside which we didn't think of and most guests were not properly informed on where to find their room so in the first night some random person suddenly opened our door and stepped into our room while we were there. Breakfast was also a little bit lacking for the price.

It was clean and simple. The staff was friendly and the hotel was relatively close to the old town centre and it was easy to reach with parking space very close.

Some possibility of storing items in a fridge (I travel with medication that must be kept cool). The receptionist in Haus 1 offered to put it there in the fridge. However, since I was leaving the hotel the next day before Haus 1 was open (I left on a Sunday at 7.15am), this was not an option for me. Luckily it was a very cold night and I kept my medication outside the window on the window sill.

I appreciated the kettle for boiling water which I had requested and which was in the room when I arrived.

I stayed in room 1A, but as it is next to the smoking shelter, I could not leave the window open as the smell of smoke was strong. The room and curtains smelled of smoke.

Breakfast was great. Accommodation was okay and in a good location.

No people at the reception ever, the key was just left in the counter for us to take it and for the checkout was the same, we had an issue with the door to enter the main building at night and it was raining so I had to knock on a kind lady’s room that let us in luckily. Keep that in mind when booking.

Just a suggestion - Small Carpet should have been there in the bathroom to wipe foot after shower. And small kettle provision to warm drinking water would have been helpful.

It was simply weird. Didn't see anyone. The room was very odd. We paid 10 Euros more than friends booking directly with the hotel. Why do I always get the worst room in a hotel when I book with booking.com? Strange but true!!!!

Was suppose to be soundproof windows and there was a lot of street noise from cars, the beds had very thin mattresses sleeping wasn’t comfortable, it was advertised as full cable TV but there was only one station, and no breakfast or light morning meal.

Room was clean but inside of the shower it was full of moll. This is easy to clean with specific products so it is really a lack of cleaning. The mold is very unhealthy and should be treated as priority
