Very nice hotel where all details are thought through. We especiall liked sauna area. Breakfast was also outstanding.

The only draw back was that our room was very hot - but the view was lovely. Maybe a room at the back would have been cooler but no view.

Ver low ceilings for tall people and we had to duck our head to avoid bumping it to get into bathroom (1.80m tall)

Lovely boutique hotel. Nice sauna, very new. The breakfast was generous. Clean rooms, also lounge and outside area available. Very friendly staff. Easy car parking. Nice small river runs along the garden.

This is a perfect hotel for a restful night or two or three in the black forest region. A babbling brook right next to the hotel lulls you to sleep. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is very stylish (Vitra Design- beautiful art books, an unusual combination of traditional and modern- with many surprising and enjoyable features. Our dog was welcomed. The breakfast fulfilled every wish I could’ve had more. I can highly recommend this hotel in Glottertal. Thank you.

Just some minor inconvenieces. The opening hours of the spa were a bit brief, so by the time we arrived back in the hotel the spa was already closed which was unfortunate. Also I missed a proper bin in the room, there was only a tiny bin in the bathroom but not a bin to dispose empty waterbottles for example.

The hotel was wonderful, friendly staff and absolute impeccable cleanliness. Modern and minimalistic rooms with no televisions which I loved because you get to unwind after a day of activities in nature. The balcony was a great addition to that because the hotel is located directly on a stream and you can hear and see the water running. Breakfast was elborate with many fresh products to choose from and on request you could get freshly made eggs/omelettes, pancakes or coffee from the chef. Also the location of the hotel was ideal, Freiburg was only a 10 minute drive for diner and shopping and within a half hour you are deep in the black forest for activities and trails.

Nothing. Some minor feedback though: the room furniture was too minimalist for us; it would be possible to keep it minimalist but with a bit more useful furniture. The “honesty bar” was great but I personally missed some digestive drinks like local schnapps. As mentioned: details.

Pretty much everything: the decoration, the breakfast (loved the chemex coffee), the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the common areas where one could read, play a board game or simply have a drink or tea.

There are no coffee facilities in the room. There is a machine in the central hall, but except breakfast, it costs €3 to get a coffee. To me, that is not corresponding to the class the hotels aspires to be.

It's well renovated and offers a fantastic breakfast with great coffee. The rooms are spacious and nice.

The breakfast was amazing! The best in years and I travel a lot! (Every week) Our family room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The view on the river made us relax. What I liked most was the staff. A super friendly team, passionate about what they do. The service was beyond! When we left the hotel we forgot the duvet and sheets of our baby daughter. They washed it and then sent it to our home address in Holland. Incredible!!

Unfortunately, our stay was not as pleasant as we had hoped. The heating in our room was defective and made loud noises throughout the night, which kept us from sleeping for several hours. Although we were eventually offered a different room, the full night was still charged – despite the very uncomfortable situation. We would have appreciated more understanding and goodwill from the hotel management.
