Position is good for a sleepover during a long trip.

The shower was a disaster. Almost clogged.

Hubby and I booked last minute and we were pleasantly surprised as we weren't expecting much for the price we paid. Our room was clean, beds comfy, bathroom clean and check-in and out was simple and uncomplicated. The place itself was much bigger than I expected, an old building. No frills, but we didn't pay for thrills either. Would be great to have coffee facilities in the room.

The smell of cigarette smoke coming from outside the smoking area wafting through the hotel was very strong and at night the lights in the hallways and stairs were not working so it was very dark.

Been there several times and the location, booking rules and price suits my needs really good for a single night going north from Rome to Copenhagen.

Would be nice if it was lightened a bit both with decor, electrical lights and from the windows. It always seems so dark and more or less closed.

Fantastic location! Absolutely the city to visit - looks like decorations to Hollywood films about medieval Europe :) very old hotel just on the central city place with the parking possibility - rear chance Charm of the old hotel

The same "charm" of the old hotel: no lift, very bad warming, some specific smell...

The Location is more than perfekt for us driving from Denmark to Rome in Italy many times pr. year. It is close to the Autobahn A9 but a very silent little village. Even traveling with 2 Golden Retrievers is easy with both access to the Hotel and walking them in the area and the private parking. And Frau Schuster is such a nice friendly Lady.

Maybe a nice soap in the bathroom would be nice but we bring it our selves so no issues from us.

We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Hotel-Landgasthof Schuster in Greding a couple of times, primarily due to its unbeatable location right off the A9. It’s the perfect pit stop for anyone traveling through Bavaria, offering easy access and a much-needed rest after a long drive. While the decor in some rooms may feel a bit dated, the price reflects this in a very fair way. It’s a no-frills, cozy establishment where you get exactly what you pay for – and sometimes even a little more. This time, we decided to upgrade to a Superior room, and it was well worth the small extra cost! The room was in noticeably better condition, with more modern touches and a level of comfort that exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that the Superior rooms have received some extra attention compared to the standard rooms we’ve stayed in before. We’ll definitely be back. Sure, there may be more luxurious hotels in the area, but Hotel-Landgasthof Schuster strikes a perfect balance of affordability, comfort, and convenience. For travelers looking for a great value stopover near the A9, this place is hard to beat.

While our stay was largely enjoyable, there were a couple of small inconveniences worth noting. First, the showerhead in our room could have used a bit of descaling – the water pressure wasn’t quite up to par, but it was a minor issue in an otherwise comfortable room. Also, be aware that Hotel-Landgasthof Schuster operates on a cash-only payment policy, which can be a bit of a surprise if you’re used to relying on cards. A quick trip to the nearest ATM sorted that out, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind before arrival. That said, these were minor hiccups in what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. The charm and convenience of the hotel far outweigh these small downsides, and we left feeling happy with our choice.

The location is perfect from Denmark to Italy.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Schuster a few times as a couple, but this time I was traveling solo and booked a single room. I won’t be doing that again. The room was on the 4th floor, and the elevator only goes to the 3rd! Thankfully, I only had a backpack, so that wasn’t the main issue. The real disappointment was the room itself. I’d call it more of a closet or storage room, at best. To be fair, it was inexpensive, but not *that* cheap. The bathroom (if you can even call it that) was smaller than what you'd find in a modern caravan, and using the toilet was nearly impossible. For any man, standing was out of the question as the toilet was tucked into the slanted roof space. The bed, advertised as 90 cm wide, was also incredibly short—probably no more than 190 cm in length, as I could feel both ends at night. It was just one night on my journey from Denmark to Rome, so I survived, but it’s hard to praise anything about the room when it clearly needs updating for the modern traveler. That said, there’s a certain charm to places like this that ooze history and nostalgia, but it could be done with a bit more elegance. Another strange detail—why secure the booking with a credit card when the hotel only accepts cash? It’s a bit baffling. I’m not saying I won’t return, but that’ll be solely because of the location, and I certainly won’t be booking this type of room again.

We were on a motorcycle tour and needed a rest, greding was the closest town, and the schuster was the cheapest place available. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful but spoke no English and we very little German. This was not a problem, and we had a pleasant over nighter. The hotel is dated but clean and tidy. The bikes were safe, outside the rear of the hotel. The room was spacious and had a reasonable shower. All we require, really. Breakfast was the usual continental style with as much as you could want. Would stay again, in this pleasant little postcard town.

I came very late and the host was very kind and helpful. Reasonably sized, quiet room with working table and sofa. Generally cozy premises and homely atmosphere.

There was no soap nor shampoo available in the room or bathroom. No shoe cleaning device. Breakfast fresh but quite simple in comparison to other German hotels.

The breakfast had good variety. The room was clean, and opening the window at night provided the night coolness we prefer. The bed was comfortable. There was street parking available, free of charge overnight until 0800 hours located in front of the Hotel.

In typical fashion in small hotels, there was no refrigerator. It would have been nice to have one to keep our beverages cold. German hotels generally don't have face cloths so when we found one that did, it was very appreciated.
