Superior view from infinity swimming pool!

Shower power could have been better, I got a room in the annexe which has no elevator. Room was small (just about ok for one person) but the bathroom was funny, half of the door would shut to reveal wither the WC or the shower, a bit of a privacy issue if one was sharing the room.

Cooked eggs to order - super. Lovely view. Nice Wellness area. Aging hotel but not in a bad shape whatsoever. The drive up and down the hill was the highlight for me, lovely twisty roads. Good Parking.

As the tap water was contaminated the hotel did NOT offer clean bottled water for the guests, not even in the spa. Not a water dispenser or anything. And the hotel staff had dirty old clothes on.

The food in the restaurant was ok but too pricy for what was offered. The relaxation room in the spa area did not fulfill its purpose, although this was largely due to other guests who were constantly talking and/or “reserving” lounge beds for longer periods of time.

Fantastic view from the room/balcony. Room was very clean and comfortable. Spa and pool area were great. Staff was nice and helpful.

You do need a car to move from the city to the hotel, but I guess this is a problem only if you travel on foot.

The staff was very helpful, the facilities neat and clean and the view of the eautiful Eichstatt city, magnificent. Especially the wellness area is really worth a visit. The restaurant is very decent and the breakfast was of excellent quality.

The outdoor pool was super cool looking, but it wasn't heated enough to be worth using in April. We got in it, but we couldn't stay out there for more than a few minutes. The indoor pool was also only lukewarm. Personally, I am so used to the thermal baths in our hometown that I found the pools hard to enjoy because they were not even as warm as body temperature. The saunas are supposed to be only open from like 16.00 (if I remember correctly, definitely late afternoon), but we were able to go in them early every day without anyone saying anything to us. This might be different in the high season, though. The hotel is at the top of a mountain, so it's really only accessible by car. I do think there was theoretically a bus stop, but I never saw a bus. I imagine the service is very infrequent. There's definitely no safe or fast way to get down into town except by car. Ingolstadt is a solid 30 minute drive away (at least it was at the time because of some road closure, not sure if it would be much faster without that though).

We had a larger room with a balcony. There was an amazing view over the valley that was just beautiful every morning. We also had the breakfast included, which was definitely worth having both for its quality and for the fact that eating somewhere else would have been a hassle. The hotel had two pools, one indoor and the other outdoor. There were also a lot of different kinds of saunas. All had good views of the valley. There was also a relaxation room that was quite comfortable and quiet. They provided robes and slippers, but I recommend packing your own because they weren't the best quality. You could also book massages, but we didn't do this. We did order room service for drinks once, which was quick enough. There was a decent amount of parking, which is absolutely necessary. The nearby town of Eichstatt was really cute, and Ingolstadt was not too far away by car. We enjoyed visiting both during the day.

The water temperature of the much-prized Infinity pool was too low to enjoy it in the cold November days. But, with the huge costs of energy, the saving strategy is understandable.

Spotless clean, superb location! Friendly staff, especially in the hotel.

- It’s a car only hotel. There’s no reasonable way to get there without car. - Half of the rooms aren’t air conditioned. For this price, it’s a robbery. - Shower and toilet are basically in the room without doors or walls. All the smells and humidity are gonna stay with you overnight.

Wellness amenities are amazing, however working hours basically exclude morning people. It’s possible to ask turning on some sauna, but if you want to use all of them, it becomes nearly impossible before 5 pm.
