Second stay here as I like the traditional Bavarian building with beer garden and hearty German food

If you are sensitive to noise like me, bring ear plugs. The walls are a bit thin, I can hear someone talking next door.

I was slightly worried about the hotel, because of the comments and reviews. I am pleasantly surprised that the rooms are clean. It is true that furnitures are a bit old, but they serve their functions. The breakfast is also a nice buffet and have a nice variety of tea. The locations is great!

Unfriendly and stressed waiter in the restaurant. For the waitress attention you have to fight. Food was "ok".

Absolutely stunning building, very beautiful. We had an apartment in a side house. Very quiet, beautiful view, big kitchen/living room. Beds are super comfortable and the breakfast is very very good. All rooms nicely heated.

We stayed there in winter, so the main problem was really cold room. I'd advice to take a warm pair of socks and some shoes. Bathroom is a bit small for tall/big persons and has only a shower. The breakfast wasn't various, but still enough to start a day.

The hotel is really close to a train station – it takes only 5 minutes, so you don't need to take a taxi or a bus. For some reason we had two rooms, so there're plenty of space to use. Since the city isn't very big, it's easy to get anywhere. The building itself is nicely painted.

Check-in I was twice made to wait while others were served as I stood there. There was a mix-up on our booking and while it was resolved I was left feeling a bit second class. We later found it hard to order more beer during our meal and we wanted dessert also but just gave up in the end. It was busy but we felt mostly ignored or were made to feel second place again sadly.

The room was full of dust under the bed, on the windows sill (where we also found a dead insect too the very first day), under the closet. A LOT of dust. Not the room for you if you are allergic to dust. The visible parts seemed more clean.

The waiting time for check-in was too long. I had to wait in front of the kitchen door for nearly 30 minutes, which was incredible.

The soap in the shower was empty and the window didn't have a mountain view as mentioned. Although we had booked for a double bed room, we were given four beds. We would have preferred a mountain view with a smaller room.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the hotel staff. We didn‘t wait for service in the hotel restaurant in the evening. Also we didn‘t even receive a menu card within 20 minutes. Therefore, we had dinners at other restaurants. Breakfast could have been acceptable if the waiter had completed the products on the buffet. Even more surprising (being in a country area!) was the lack of milk for coffee and the usual farm yoghurt. Waiter simply refused to supplement these products. We a lot of travel, including southern Bavaria, however, we've had is the first time this kind of attitude towards tourists.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Our apartment coincided to the photos. Kochel itself was cosy and picturesque. The Kochel Am Seeis within walking distance. Those who wish can also visit Kristall Therme Trimini. Who are interested in painting of the early 20th century, I advise you to visit the Museum Franz Marc. You can also reach by car or bus the beautiful Walchensee.

Lighting in the room is not that good, quite dark even if you turn on the lights. Breakfast is also a little bit limited (but their eggs are soft boiled so it's pretty good!)

Quite near train station and right in front of the bus stop. Big room with bath tub as well. The restaurant downstairs is also quite nice.

The breakfast could be improved a bit with hot egg dishes made on request. The beds were too soft for our liking. The EV chargers are often blocked by cars not charging, and the parking spaces are very narrow, which won’t be a problem if people would care about not blocking even 2 spaces with a not charging car. (Be aware that there is a secondary building, so you not necessarily will be hosted in the main. You have to get the keys from the restaurant in the main building.)

Nice and clean hotel. They have their own parking lot with EV charging. The staff were very nice and polite. The hotel is very close to Kristall Therme. The room is well equipped with kitchenette and very spacious. The breakfast was okay.

The room was very small and a bit dated. Customer service is a bit eccentric and while the food in the restaurant was nice, it took a long time to get served, get the bill etc.

Great location a few minutes’ walk from the station and the town centre. Hotel has some rustic charm and I enjoyed nice views from my room of the stunning mountain scenery. It was reasonably priced compared to other hotels in Kochel in high season.

Reception area not manned. One has to to gonto the restaurant. The receptionist could be nicer and friendlier.

Everything was very beautiful! Breakfast was always worth taking a trip to talk with people. The breakfast food was traditional and excellent! Very clean food!
