Great location (quiet neighborhood with lovely canals), all the comforts of a usual hotel room combined with a feeling of an adventure.

Nothing really. It's not very central, but the is no way you can find a boat hotel in the central harbour for a money like that. The bus can pick you up not far from the boat. If you can walk 15min, there is a direct train to the city center. In the worst case scenario a taxi from central harbour is 45 euros, not the end of the world.

Very cool and authentic place. Great room, with very clean shower. Round ship window with water view of the ships across the channel. Lots of light and space. The living room is comfortable, drinks are provided for donations (!). Breakfast is made fresh for the time you choose. The owner can tell a story of the reconstruction of this 122 year old boat. I traveled with my 6yo daughter and she was absolutely happy about the place too.

The chance to spend time on an iconic river boat was the attraction that fulfilled our curiosity. It was amazing on how the boat was fitted out to take on the function of a hotel or BnB. The hosts Marcel and Heike were very helpful and friendly to make our stay all the more enjoyable. Great place to stay while in Hamburg.

Location was slightly out of the city but absolutely fine if you’re happy to use the great public transport systems. Short walk to the nearest train station, or you can catch a bus if needed.

Amazing, different property which was well equipped. Comfy large rooms and brilliant host. Marcel made us feel very welcome and provided a lovely breakfast, felt very homely.

The host was very friendly and helpful. It was a unique experience which we like to do to make our holiday memorable. Close to public transport. Breakfast was exquisite with homemafe jam, croissants and buns.

A couple of spiders were living in the room :) Not a big deal for us, but could be a concern for some. Some facilities shown in the pictures were missing (no hammock and we had only basic kitchen chairs).

We liked the host, the boat, the river view, the bed. It was a very pleasant stay. The boat stood still, it didn't rock at all, so possibly even people with seasickness could consider this hotel.

Not a *brilliant* location for seeing Hamburg itself, neither is it really in the centre of anywhere. Car parking seemed perhaps a little “dodgy” but our car was OK overnight, and perhaps it’s fine.

Marcel was everything the other reviews have said. Gracious, friendly, patient, helpful, but never “in your face”. You couldn’t ask for more. Breakfast was very nice and generously prepared.

The hotel is renovated from a ship with owners’ vision and patient. The room is spacey and has distinctive ship features. And thanks to Marcel’s recommendation, we had enjoyed staying in Harburg and get to know a bit more about this harbor. This is a place we would like to visit next time in town.

Great guest, nice to have a coffee with and share some stories. Lovely experience for staying on a boat, especially in the spring mornings on the terrace. Had a good sleep, enjoyed the bed so much :)
