Everything was a bit rustic - you can see that as either full of character and charm, or old- fashioned and scruffy, depending on your mood.

Quiet location, pretty house, sweet balcony with a view of the castle. And we saw red squirrels on the trees in the garden!

The shower pressure was low, and getting the temperature right took ages to balance. Would suggest to people to pack their own toiletries as they only provide packets of body/hair gel and soap.

The views from the balcony overlooking the castle were amazing. The hosts were really friendly and the place has very interesting history. There is free parking on the property if there are spaces free.

The bed is lower at the head end. So we slept with head at feet end. The people in the room above us were loud. They sat on their balcony for hours which was annoying, so we weren’t able to enjoy our balcony. Disappointing for us as this the balcony overlooking the castle is why we stayed there. No fault of the property. Just disappointing.

Check in to room earlier than 17.00 would have been appreciated although we were given the key when we arrived at 1.30

Great location fantastic view of castle from the balcony . Friendly informative host. Property is "older' and has the character of a historic building which inho gives it an added charm contrary to some previous reviews I read. Probably the best value breakfast we've ever had for only 1€ !

The house is historical, from the early 1900’s, and is showing its age. The rooms are quite small and the electrical outlets are few and far between. The parking is a bit tight and somewhat limited, but is included in the cost. The biggest drawback however are the check in and out times. We could not access our room until 17:00 even though we arrived at about 15:00. We had to leave our luggage in the car until we could check in. Then we had to be out at 10:00, which forced us to leave the town earlier than we would have liked. This was the only real downside, the other things were just minor inconveniences.

The best thing was the location! We stayed in room #2, which has a balcony that looked on the Neuschwanstein castle, it is absolutely breathtaking! It is a close walk to both castles, maybe 20-30 minutes to each one. We loved the little town and would definitely stay here again for the location and view!

Because of the age of the property, expect to hear creaking floorboards.

The bed may need a bit updating and coffee with the tea facilities would be great.

The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the staff were super friendly. The talk about the history of the build was really interesting and the room was fitting with the house and area. The location was exactly what we needed for our stay.

The room had an odd smell to it. No elevator, so we had to drag our luggage up the stairs.

The staff was very nice. The location is amazing and the view is spectacular. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle from the balcony and no charge. The breakfast was nice.

The view of the castle is actually only seen when you go out onto a balcony. Check in is 5:00 and check out is 10:00 they charge if you come early or late.

It was within walking distance to the castle. I could park our car at the property.

The water keeps running in the pipes even though there’s no one using the toilet, and it can be a bit noisy especially at night

The house was very historical and with good location. We were told that it was actually around 180 year old and was designed or built at the same time with the castle, or using the same materials from the castle
