I think this is typical of German hotels, but it’s so hard to get a cup of tea in an evening! No kettle in the room and I could only get one at the bar while the kitchen was open. But really this is a very minor gripe, and my only one!

Lovely hotel in a central location. Very quiet at night - we deliberately chose a room to the side, rather than overlooking the market square, Our comfort double room was lovely, a really good size. The bathroom was very big too. All very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was great, lots of choice. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Probably my own fault - I asked for a quiet room so we were given a top floor room which meant that there were height restrictions in parts of the room - banged my head a couple of times!

The sofa-bed mattress was thin.. It was OK for the kids because they are lightweights, but challenging for us adults.

The hotel is not only perfectly located (opposite the Rathaus and on the marketplace), it also has a large parking (both inside and outside). The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a highlight by uts quality and variety. The restaurant was excellent as well. Our room was large (family) and quiet, the bathroom as large and with enough towels for everyone and more. The facilities were very clean, We had a wonderful stay at the Weißer Hirsch and we're very happy with our choice of hotel and city. Wernigerode is absolutely charming.

Breakfast buffet was a bit limited compared to other 4star hotels. Soap being too far back to reach for kids. The screens displaying ads by the bank across the street shine (brightly) into the window.

Very clean, large bathroom. Many tourist offers. Big couch bed for kids. Very friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Cozy.

Asked ahead of time about cost for pet and did not receive answer. 18 euro for pet is highest we have ever paid so it would be nice to know price in advance. Beds were fine but mattresses had depression or slope in them which made them less comfortable.
