How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Comfortable room. Quit conducive to a good night's sleep. Evening meal and breakfast very good, and my wife's need for gluten free food was accommodated well. Great view of the Rhein from the terrace. Well placed for our journeys south and back.

Dark hallways and the way the building is its a bit scary at night to walk through the hallways. Parking could also require more lighting.

I was on a cycling holiday, but was very tired and decided to catch a train for part of the way. Unfortunately I bought a ticket to Remagen - not unreasonably, as that is where I thought the hotel was, but it turned out to be closer to Sinzig, the previous station. So I cycled 5 km back in the direction I had come from! However, while I very much liked Kripp for a one-night stay, I don't think there is much to keep one there for longer.
I loved the riverside location, and hotel's ambience. When I wasn't sure whether I was going in the right direction on my bike, I phoned the hotel number and was reassured, though it was a great relief to find the actual hotel!

Sadly no lift and quite difficult stairs (husband has a bad knee!). At dinner, my fish was undercooked and inedible but my husband enjoyed his beef!
Very comfortable, clean room with spacious bathroom and lovely view.

Car parking could have been better. Many residents totally ignore the white lines of the parking bays, which were a bit tight. A major difficulty was the stairs. Access to reception is up a flight of external stairs from the car park and rooms are on the floors above. There is no lift. Not suitable for elderly or disabled.
Check in was quick and easy. Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value.

Met with several friends and the private dining room was very helpful. Safe parking for our "oldtimer" cars. Room was just right for us. Great to be right next to the Rhine!

I needed to wash compression garments for the family member in hospital. This is the reason why I chose this hotel, because I knew I'd need this service. It is showing as a facility on booking.com but unfortunately it isn't a service offered in the hotel, which was disappointing. The manager gave me an address of a laundry service but it wasn't opened on Wednesdays (which was unfortunately the day I needed it). There's also no tea/coffee facilities in the bedrooms, but the kind staff brought up a kettle, cups, sugar and milk for me. I got my own teabags in a shop.
The location was good for us. It is close to the train and also close to the hospital (we were there as a family member was having surgery)

Overlooking the Rhine which meant lovely views at breakfast. Ideal location for crossing the river to Linz. Staff were very a helpful. There was a dedicated room for our bikes - very secure!

Very efficient and helpful, friendly staff. Great service. Room was comfortable, although the "courtyard view" turned out to be of the car park! Location by the river was stunning. Bike rentals were economically priced. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Packed lunch service for our long onward journey.

Would have been good with some air conditioning in the bedrooms. No central room / area to watch Euros as a group.
Friendly staff, great breakfast each day, good place for bike riding, close to ferry for train station.

This is a very pleasant hotel, with tasty and rich breakfast, good coffee and very friendly personnel. And with a nice, picturesque view on the river and its eastern banks. Highly recommendable :-)
