A Hotel where there is no breakfast on Site ? and no where to have a drink unless you were eating ?

The Staff werr very helpful however some things were a bit difficlut. The secure parking for the motorcyckes this make thexstay far more comfortable

There is no car park attached to the hotel, which we didn't need as we didn't have a car. There is no lift, however staff are happy to assist in carrying luggage. There is also no fridge in the room.

A quaint hotel in the Alt Stadt, the location was excellent, overlooking the water canal and market area. Lots of eating places, and close to the waterfall and other places of interest. Having arrived around lunchtime, we stopped for a bite to eat and enjoyed the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I didn’t particularly enjoy the breakfast for the price it was at. Of course, the staff was very accommodating and made hard boiled eggs for us instead of soft boiled. But we barely touched the breakfast on the last two days. Still filling and good, but I won’t be having the breakfast again if we come back. We were also charged for not coming to breakfast on the first morning, when we were told we didn’t need to book a time and to just show up. Also, no clear instructions on reception or lobby. There was no front desk, just the restaurant. Not the worst thing in the world, but it got a little confusing at check in and check out The reception is not 24/7 as Tripadvisor said it was, which is part of the reason we booked it. Reception closes at 22:00 when the restaurant closes. The correct times were shown on their website but everywhere else we checked it was incorrect.

We really enjoyed the location and view from our room. Being there in the slow season was amazing because there weren’t a lot of people around and I enjoyed that. We hadn’t been there before so we didn’t have to wait in line for photos at any of the popular places tourists travel to. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with us because we didn’t speak German. We would love to come back in the summer to see how it looks like with more people, and shops being open longer

Directions to hotel a bit of a rollercoaster thru narrow one way cobbled streets! only to find out parking was 5 mins away from hotel.. staff at hotel soon sorted and gave us keys to private garage.. restaurant was closed, plenty of places to eat but recommend booking as found it hard to find a table for 4.

The hotel is also a restaurant and unfortunately closes on a Tuesday which is when we arrived. On ringing, our host was able to remotely let us in and tell us where to find our key but we missed the personal greeting which is when information about the hotel and location is usually shared. I am sure this is not a problem on other days.

The hotel was in a very good location and offered convienient parking very close by. Our room was a good size out the back of the hotel and included a fan which was most useful as it was a hot day. We also had a kettle with a small selection of fruit teas. The breakfast buffet had a good selection including some hot items.

Parking was about 200 metres away and cound not get directions or location before arrival. Fortunately we spotted it by accident. Once you know where it is, all was fine. We were there for the Luxemburg Iron man. No secure bike storage so bikes had to go in our rooms. Not a big problem though.

The drain in the bathroom was very smelly all the time and we tried to cover it up with towels. The rooms were above the kitchen so the food smell was quite nauseating at times.

Very well located hotel, very cosy rooms, very nice service, and very nice dinner : the Forelle was outstanding indeed. The place to enjoy in Saarburg.

We were not happy that my friends were put in three star hotel although we had paid for a 4 star hotel. We were not happy that the location was changed. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful.

The other hotel was ok. They requested 32 euros for us to have breakfast and we thought that was expensive as we had no idea how good or bad this was going to be so we decided we would not have breakfast. We said we were unhappy with the treatment thus far and was told if we wanted to see the waterfall we can always walk! The shower had a part missing which meant you had to get the bathroom floor wet regardless of which position it was in! The room was cold and the heating appeared to come on in the middle of the night so we woke up with it too warm!

As we were sent to another hotel quite rudely due to the host stating it was Booking.coms fault we do not know what the hotel mentioned was like. It was fairly late when we arrived and it was difficult to find. The host made us feel like an inconvenience and was pretty rude. We were sent to another hotel outside the town area which was not what we booked and paid for.

I wouldn’t know about this property as the owner called us the morning of our reservation to say they have had some sort of water damage and would moves us to another lovely hotel near by. When we arrived it turned out it was nowhere near the little Saarburg waterfront / waterfall section of the village - which was the only reason we had chosen the property. They were incredibly unhelpful and rude and said they could not refund us as we booked through booking . com and that they didn’t see what the problem was as a room is a room! I was absolutely shocked - but with my elderly mother in law and two young daughters with us what could we do. We had driven 500 miles to stay there. To say we were disappointed is an extreme understatement.
