Nothing, it was all good

We stayed in the guest house around the corner from the main hotel. It was fantastic. Lovely room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast, which was in the main hotel, was very good. The hotel is right in the middle of the town so a perfect location for exploring. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

The beds were comfortable but the pillows were unfortunately like rocks. We had dinner at the hotel one night and whilst the food was ok it certainly did not blow us away and we would not eat there again

Room was of good size and clean. Property provided garage parking at extra cost but this was well worth the price paid. The location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic, Breakfast was continental style and was very good

I would have loved a coffee maker rather than just a kettle.

The decor and attention to details is lovely; flowers, potted plants, heart cutouts, etc. The property vibe is homey and fits perfectly with the a quaint village in the Black Forest. The staff is warm and friendly. Everything is clean and well attended.

Not a problem for some people but I found the parking garage a little difficult to drive into and out of due to the narrowness and angle of the entrance. I drove a medium size SUV so a smaller car would be easier to maneuver.

Our room was large, comfortable, clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and it’s close to nice restaurants and within driving distances to other towns in the Black Forest.

The breakfast was pretty nice, with the usual options of juices, fruits, cereals, breads, cheeses meats, etc., plus scrambled or soft-boiled eggs. The only thing was that it could be hard to move around it because of a large table made up for a large group staying at the hotel, but otherwise we thought it good.

Hotel Sonne is in a great location in lovely Gengenbach. The staff were efficient and helpful, and we enjoyed the room, which was one in the newer back area of the hotel. The room itself was a suite, with a separate couch/bed and desk, which made it nice for us to spread out our couple's stuff. Nice bathroom with an excellent Hansgrohe shower (the company is headquartered in a nearby Black Forest town) that resembled our own at home.

Well rin hotel ideally situated in centre of town with secure parking. Excellent restaurant and plenty of choice continental breakfast buffet included in the price of the room.

A very lovely and helpful lady at the reception, a comfortable modern room and a very good breakfast. Perfect location in the center of Gengenbach and 5 min on foot from the train station.

Would have preferred a couple more options at breakfast and access to a toaster. To make it even more comfortable air conditioning for the summer months would be great . Although we were given room fans
