Nice small hotel in the Plagwitz quarter. Rooms are ok, clean. Solid breakfast. Good location close to the Täubchenthal concert hall - which was actually the main reason for my trip to Leipzig. The area is otherwise also ok, not in the centre, but solid quarter with good access to tram/bus/S-bahn.

The cot is barely wide enough for a single person. It has the same width of a folded sofa bed. The mattress was comfortable though.

The room was good enough for a single occupant. Towels and soap were provided. Bathroom and toilet was tight fit but usable. Breakfast spread was excellent. It was probably what catapaulted my stay experience from good to very good. The hotel is close to a bus stop. There are tram stops nearby but the nearest one is still a kilometre away. There is also a S-Bahn (Plagwitz) station that has frequent connections to the city centre. Connectivity wise this is a convenient location.

reception not staffed at night, but you are given keys to let yourself in. My room was a bit short on toilet paper, so had to ask for extra. There was no kettle in the room, which is not uncommon in Germany (I brought a travel kettle)

friendly and helpful staff, lovely welcome, spacious comfortable clean room, comfortable very large double bed, massive wardrobe, table and chairs, fantastic shower, quiet (no noisy guests, no street noises since located in backyard, amazing breakfast, good area in walking distance to shops and cafes.

The WiFi was not working although the signal was full (I realized it very late in the night so no one to report this to and we were leaving the next day) but it may have been just pure bad luck. The breakfast could have been optional so that the room could be under 100 euros.

The hotel is in a great location in Plagwitz very close to a cool hip area with many shops and restaurants (9 min walk). There is also a bus station right across the hotel. The staff were as well as the room and breakfast.

It doesn't have air con but nowhere does. It was 35 degrees when I was there and it was bearable and I did sleep fine. Opening the windows didn't really let in any breeze and it was a bit noisy with the windows open. The hairdryer was functional but glad I bought my own. There's little in the way of toiletries so recommend going to the very local chemist and getting your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash - only a couple of streets away.

Really good size room and bathroom with 3 really good size windows. You can't hear any noise from the street with the windows closed. Bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Really good shower. Facilities good - bed comfortable, wardrobe with decent space, decent mirrors for hair drying and dressing, plenty of space for toiletries in bathroom. A good sized tv (although I didn't need it). Room checked and bed made, towels changed. Good breakfast - selection of meats, cheese, bread, cold drinks. Also sausage and scrambled egg. Breakfast staff were lovely (I don't speak German) Wifi worked very well. There w(as also a communal fridge (I didn't used it but it would have been great for putting in drinks if you were spending more time in your room than I did. As you can only take 100ml of products there's a great DM (Brit's equivalent of Boots) nearby so I bought what I wanted there and very reasonably priced. A short walk to the shops and restaurants. Close to station. I would stay here again.

Allergies were not so well catered for at breakfast, and we had to bring our own gluten free bread. It would have been much more convenient if we hadn't had to do this.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless on arrival and nicely maintained throughout the stay. There was an excellent selection at breakfast. Nice apartment with everything we needed for our stay.

    Furnishings, fittings, shower, cleaning

It appears I cannot give 0 stars, but breakfast was good so it has its 1 star. We were unlucky enough to be put into an apartment in the front of the building overlooking the road outside. No Air con but it was hot, so windows left open, the buses srart poaaing at 4am so anticipate being woken soon after by the noixe of traffic. The batthroom washbasin was dirty, cleary not properly cleaned for a long time. Bathroom washbasin and shower blocked, water filled both when in use so I had to borrow a plunger and clear myself as reception were unable to help. Shower, one control broken and missing, unable to regulate the temperature so sometimes cold, other times hot enough to burn. The deds and wardrobes were clearly from the lower end of the IKEA style, and so poorly assembled that on passing the corner of one that I cut my legs, twice, so badly that it bled. I have travelled throughout Europe and beyond, over 100 hotels, this is only the second I would simply say..... avoid.

The fact that they cannot let guetss wait somewhere in the foyer, till check-in time is not nice. Unfortunately we cannot control arrival time, and not allowing guests to wait somewhere is not nice. They do take your luggage though, but you cannot wait there. Overall, most staff unfriendly unless it is a culture thing I do not know. Hasty in their interactions with you. Shower glass cracked in my room on my first night there, and they had no emergency number that I could contact. That is very unprofessional as anything can happen. I only got assisted the next morning, by the younger male staff member. He was very friendly and he felt bad about it, and then he gave me a new room. Most of the female staff were nice, but the older male staff member is very dismissive and does not make effort to assist with directions. I will definitely not stay there again. But the breakfast is value for money.

The younger staff members were nicer and friendlier, compared to the older gentleman. Breakfast was value for money.
