Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis accommodation is very close to the Dresden-Neustadt trolley stop...(7 Gorbitz.) That makes it super convenient! If you are mindful that the property is a pension and not a modern hotel, you will not mind a few crumbs in the corner of the floor when you check-in. It is a very quiet place - without city sounds to keep one awake. The TV provides many varied channels for viewing. A WiFi password is provided on a card in your apartment, so you can connect easily! Check-in is easy and contactless! - At the doorway to the Pension at #15 Bichofsweg (a green doorway between outdoor restaurant tables) there is a safety box and the property management will email you a passcode and directions within the building plan to your room. You put in the code they provide, and your keys pop out. One for the front door to the building and one for your secure private apartment within. Very, very easy! Check out is just as easy - leave your apartment at check out (currently 10:30) time and drop the keys into the open slot on the same safety box where it is clearly labeled 'key return!' Very easy!

United KingdomThere was a liquid soap dispenser above the wash basin but nothing in the shower cubicle.
Well equipped apartment, within a reasonable walking distance of the old city centre (about 20 minutes). A good variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Excellent information provided by the owner. Not a very posh area but good facilities and value for money.

NetherlandsAC worked quite well in the apartment but not in the bathroom, which was very hot and humid. It's also a portable AC unit - the tube dispersing all the hot air outside fell off the unit and the wall a couple of times. A portable AC also makes more noise and is less efficient. We had to run it 24/7 at the lowest setting of 17 degrees to get it to an agreeable 21/22 degrees indoors - it was 30+ outside.
Dog friendly! Amazing location - Neustadt is a great neighbourhood with a park just around the corner, which was perfect for our dog. Many cafes, bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Super vegan friendly area of town. We chose to park the car in the one-way street next to the hotel, which was 18 euros for 48 hours, rather than park it for free but out of sight. Easy acces to the keys and dropping them off both in the locker. Apartment we had faced the courtyard so no noise from the streets.

United KingdomArea felt a little seedy, with some dodgy bars etc. around. Some cooking smells from restaurants downstairs, and some noise at night.
Good location close to tram routes and rail stations. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops etc. in the immediate area. Bathroom only shared with one other room. Hosts very kind and helpful when I had to change the dates of my stay due to my own stupidity (initially booked the wrong month!)

United KingdomWas expecting a washing machine in flat, perhaps mistakenly. Possibly could have used one in flat next door also owned by M Zesch (owner of Pension Ole), but not sure. Kitchen is very small - could do with extra surfaces in kitchen to prepare food, as there is enough room for a narrow worktop on left side. A cheese grater, a bread knife, and larger chopping board would be helpful.
Location was brilliant, a couple of minutes walk to local tram therefore only several more minutes into the heart of town and Old Town. Restaurants, organic food shop, pharmacy and other shops close by. Lovely park almost next door. Easy to get around Dresden from Pension Ole. Air con unit worked brilliantly. Lovely big windows could be opened wide, or left semi-open - great in the heat. Everything was very clean, though a lick of paint would freshen things up and really improve the look of P. Ole.

RussiaFor this money place was absolutely fine
Location is far from center, but on the next street from night life area. It's not bothering you if you don't like parties, I didn't even noticed noise on my first night. On the second one I learned that it's nice area with night life and street art. It's about 40-50 min walk to the city center. It's fine by me, but I'm pretty sure if you don't like walk you can find trams or buses.

United StatesOne of the bedrooms is in the same room as the couch/kitchen/dining area -- not ideal but it was OK.
This was a very good place to stay for our family (three people: parents + adult daughter) for a weekend. The location is excellent -- near restaurants, cafes, stores and tram stops, and also walkable to the Altstadt.

Pension is very well located, there are lot of restaurants in the nearby, connection to the centre is excellent. The apartment was clean, comfortable, with every equipment you might need for a shorter stay. It actually looked much better than on the photos. Smooth check in, sufficient communication. My children enjoyed the stay very much.
